Just completed Sainte's mask order today. It is a Saki kigurumi mask and costume from the anime Steel Angel Kurumi.
I have vague memories about this show, its an anime aired more than a decade ago afterall.
For those who are interested to find out more, hit Google and search for Steel Angel Kurumi, it has 2 seasons in total.

Like every time, I can't wait for Sainte to try it out.
I believe Hotaru and Sainte are both Finlanders and I wish to congratulate Finland for having the growth in Kiguurmi Cosplayers~

With the costume, I talked in the forums about some parts which I need to tweak a little before sending.
This costume has so many parts, I can't recall if any of my own costumes came in so many pieces.
If you take a look at the picture on here, there are 12 pieces.
Looks like it will be fun to wear that~

Another update is that I've recently added over 3000 pictures to the gallery section.
Other members have been actively putting their own favourites up, I'm glad for that.

With the Saki mask out of the way, I'll have more time to work on the new Saya Dark Elf mask as well as other projects.

It has been a very busy fortnight, and thus the lack of updates. Work in kigurumi is being done, but just not been written up yet.
So I thought what would be a better time now, that I've got some free time to talk about some happenings in the eventful two weeks.
Some of you may have known, the Facebook reaper (aka FB Shinigami) paid me a visit two weeks ago and I've been reverted back into a baby~
And to make my baby life more miserable, Facebook disallowed me from adding friends for a week, so while I can accept people's requests, I can't add people on my own.
Its like having my hands tied up while trying to clap hehe~
Good thing its over now.
For adventurous friends out there, apparently the Facebook reaper deals a damage of over 1500 per hit.
Took all my life out with one blow.
I'm begining to guess that its a storyline event and cannot be avoided in any way lols~
Well, anyway my character has since then been recovered and can be readded into your party of friends~^^

I heard that some people have the Facebook reaper visit them almost a handful of times.
Thats kind of worrying, I wonder if there is any item which can ward them off.
Well I guess that means I've just had my first time, and no longer a virgin in this matters~ ^_^

A few things which I've been working on lately.

I added a new video on to my Youtube account, its just a casually taken video, nothing professional.

Just felt like taking some pictures with my iphone, its quick, easy and doesn't take a lot of effort to get dressed up.
I should consider doing that more often hehe
Posted some pictures from the zipai(self shoot) below.
I also learnt one thing about the Iphone4.
I'm pretty sure I already knew this, but it is my first time seeing its effects and that is the front facing camera on the Iphone4 is very much lower quality than the back facing one.
I was quite marvelled by the camera on the Iphone4 (the back camera) which takes really good pictures, which made me forgot that the front one which is hardly used, is not as good.
Nevertheless, the front facing camera is superb for doing zipai(self shots).

I feel that this photoshoot is one of Asuka's cutest outfits, I really like it a lot.

Let's talk about some recent updates. The Mini-Chatroom seems to be proving itself a hit.
I initially wanted it to just make it more convenient for users to leave messages for each other in the forums, but it seems because its much easier to use, and allows cute avatars of users to interact with, its become more frequently used than the video chatroom.

I chanced upon it when least expecting it, and after seeing the outcome, you realise how useful it is.
Its part of the forums, so users can read updates and chat about them at the same time.

In comparison to my standalone video chatroom, which is just a chatroom, its less colourful, thus easy to get bored of quickly.

What I really liked about it is that it is mobile device friendly, I can use it on my iphone by just browsing to the web page as its not flash or some software.
Quite thankful to the writer of this widget.
Today, I added the open to let the chat page open up independently on a separate window, so users who just want to chat on their mobile while on the go, can free up resources by not having to load the full long forum page. Phew Long sentence is long.

I hope that it will be easier now to join us in chatting even on your mobile device.

Phew talking about mobile device, I haven't even started editing the mobile website version.
It probably will take some time with so many other things I want to do now hehe.

The blinking mask project has made quite a lot of progress and the picton position has been changed. The overall sliding eye cover design has been taken apart and redesigned too, I just didn't have time to post some updates on it. I will very soon, do stay tuned for the test-type to emerge soon~^_^

The Saki mask project and costume are into its final phase, the costume is completed and the mask is almost ready to be painted.
Been working on a side project these couple of days, and it seems to be taking up all my attention, but yeah, its that exciting.
I hopefully it can be announced soon, but there are many things which are only at the beginning stages.
I hope to get as much help i can get so each of us working on the project will have a lighter load.

After all these are finished, I hope I can start making a new mask model too.
Its been so long since any new models have emerged, I hope to get all the major work completed in the next 3 weeks to move on to the next project~^_^

Project Hatsune Miku

I have been slow to grow a liking for Hatsune Miku even though I was well aware of her popularity since a few years ago. I think it must have been the latest 3D virtual concert and improved songs with excellent dancing which made me fall in love with her. And as with any anime character I love, I would invite them into the real world.
Well, I'm definitely not the first who tried to do a kigurumi cosplay of Hatsune Miku, kinda not in line with most of my cosplay choices, but well... first in the english speaking world seems good enough~^_^
I have started resuming the blinking eye kigurumi mask project simultaneously with the Project Miku~
With that, I am trying to debut the Hatsune Miku kigurumi cosplay with the blink-able kigurumi mask. I am not sure how long will it take, I am currently trying to solve another problem.
Do come back into the blinking eye project thread and help me with your ideas to the new and challenging problems~^_^;
One reason that the blinking eye project is taking so long is because the seller for the battery component of my design has failed to send me the correct items.
As mentioned in the thread as well, the seller made a mistake in my shipment not once, but twice, sending me crap stuff that I cannot use.
For the record, they are also the first seller on Ebay which I have given a negative feedback to. Never thought this day would come.
As of now, I have yet received the correct items, I hope it comes in fine now, or this seller would have been a three time commiter of ridiculous mistake.
Due to a small number of requests, I started another kigurumi bodysuit mass order. Both Normal and High Quality suit orders are accepted.
Some time back, I stopped accepting orders for Normal quality kigurumi bodysuits as they are not really as durable as the HQ ones.
But of late, there are a few friends who are just starting up kigurumi and wishes for a place to get cheap yet good coloured bodysuits.
So I've decided to resume making them. Afterall, I think all the sellers only sell HQ bodysuits and no normal quality more economical ones, that makes it hard for some.
If you are interested, please head to the forum page and voice your interest.
I just need you to tell me your height and weight, and size of the suit.
Feel free to ask any questions there as well.
I have some updates for the Saki kigurumi mask and costume which I am working on for Sainte. I patched up the mask today with filler, and will sand it smooth tomorrow.
Cannot wait for it to finish as Sainte and Hotaru, both Finlanders will be able to kig together~^_^

Old Meets New – New bodysuit mass order.

The final touches to the Gallery and Forum are in place for now, I can’t think of anymore huge improvements, though small add ons may still come now and then.
Now what’s left is to help some friends with the Links page and the Video chatroom.
The previous HQ bodysuit mass order has also been concluded and all suits been shipped out.
I’ve received a few more requests of suits wanted, so I’m trying to start another mass order. Well at least as many as I can muster within such a short period after an earlier order~^_^
So… Old meets new. Quite a few things in this post is related to old meeting the new thus I pick this title. I posted some pictures of Yu wearing Winter’s nurse uniform on a bed.
And thats kind of old meeting the new.
Not only that, the former pictures in my gallery and the forum gallery has been moved and merged into one large Gallery. So there is a more communal feel to the organising of photography materials.
Last but not least, the Forums has been given a facelift while retaining the same layout and usability.
Talking a little about the picture featured in this post, this shoot is taken quite early in the days when Yu was still modeling for this website.
The nurse outfit is a more fashionable version of real nurse uniforms (Although I do have a real nurse uniform photoshoot), but its more fun and kinky looking this way.
The entire outfit is made from white lycra and also bring quite thin at the same time, so it is quite form fitting.
A white corset is worn underneath the nurse outfit but it can only be seen from this view.
That is where the garter-belt is and white garter straps keep a pair of white opaque stockings on.
The nurse cap is attached to the hair with hair pins to keep it from sliding off and real latex gloves are worn on her hands.
It is a simple costume, but I think Yu pulled it off really well, looking quite sexy~^_^

First of all, the bodysuits have been sent out. Looks like I will need to make another mass order right away as well.
I”ve received messages asking for new suits, though not that many people as yet, I’ll start another mass order thread and if anyone wants to hop on, you’re more than welcome.

The other update is regarding the forum and gallery integration.
Most of the work I have in planned for the gallery and forums have been complete.
All that remains is the sorting of the unsorted images imported from the previous gallery in the forums, and adding of a few modifications in the forums.
4 new features are currently visible in the forums, they were added between yesterday and today.
They include a Mini-Chat box so that users can try to get support and answers to their questions a little quicker.
And I added an international country flag display feature for every member. Since the website is an international one, sometimes it might be necessary to remind others where you’re from~^_^
Its a fun add on which I hope members will configure it when they visit the forums.
The next two updates are the “Random Images from the Gallery” and the “Last Viewed Images” also from the gallery.
There are now a large number of COSPLAY, KIGURUMI COSPLAY, FIGURINES and other images in the gallery.
I’m populating the gallery from scratch as nothing was retained when I imported the images from the former gallery and closed my old personal gallery.
Now members are allow to start their individual albums, it will be most useful for kigurumi cosplayers, and also add images into the other albums if the image fits the category~
I’m in the middle of adding a few more new features to the version upped forum.
Most of them will be cosmetics, with a number of functionality improvements as well.
Such as, fully featured quick reply box, user avatar of new posts and PM page enhancements.

The new design of the website is up, but there is still more left to do.Seems somehow that there is more work now than before, hehe~^_^;

Everyone who is working on the website are going through a very busy period right now. Yet they still try their best to make some progress in the area of work they are managing.A new links page and video chat page will go live once they are fully tested and working.

In the meantime, I have exported the images from the forums into the standalone gallery. Phew~ the phpBB gallery is huge, there are almost 3000 images there, I'm really glad so many people have been sharing your pictures there all these time.

The new gallery uses the same login as to the forums, you do not need to register for a separate account. At this moment, the images are unsorted as I have just imported them from the forum gallery. Eventually, the forum gallery shall go. I don't think I will be able to sort all the imags in the new gallery myself, if you wish to help, let me know. The new gallery should be much easier to use than the improvised attempt by phpBB to make a gallery. There are just too many features and plugins that I want to try to integrate into the forum and gallery which I do not have time to do so myself. If you are comfortable in web authoring, why not send me a message and we'll see how the website can use some of your help~^_^

Quite a few other side work happening at the same time. The costume you see above belongs to Saki from steel angel kurumi.It will go with the Saki mask ordered by Sainte.
But in order to get the costume up to standard, some self modifications are definitely required.

As for the Saki mask, the fibreglass replica has been completed. I will need to start working on that, it will take some time still.

I have been tinkering with the website all this while to get it to working condition.
For now, I can focus on something else since its already operational.

The other work which needs to be done are the dye-ing of the bodysuits. Yes they have arrived, just got them yesterday. Dye-ing them shouldn't take too long, I've done a few today, I will try my best to finish them all tomorrow. The order was closed and production started on the 4th Jul 2011. A month has gone by, thank you everyone for your patience, it will be ready soon.

The new suits have a new feature as well. Some buyers reported to me that due to improper handling, the zipper heads have came off. In the new design, there is a backup zipper head, so if the first one is worn off, a second one is there so you do not have to worry. This is such a good idea, I think we should patent the design lol. Conventional zentais, if you accidentally rip a zipper off its threads, it can be quite a hassle to put it back(nearly impossible). And changing the whole 1m long zipper is out of the question. Nothing of this sort to worry about now~^_^

There is a forum thread that is open for comments and reports on the new website. Since it is somewhat in a BETA stage, problems are bound to exist, if you notice any, do let me know there.

Took some time off to add a new album into the gallery section. There seems to be quite a back log there, well there also seems to be some progress with this I suppose. The first half of the gallery has been posted. I'll put up a second half soon~

The move of the website from the old server to the new server seems to have been completed without problems. The previous server was in Germany and the current one is in USA. Those living in the US, is there any noticeable improvement in speed? The internet is quite fast nowadays, I imagine most people wouldn't notice a 1ms or 10 ms difference would they?

With the migration out of out of the way, I think I'll work a little on getting a new design up for the site too. The current version is version 6, the next version will be version 7. It all seems so fun, but I also happen to be going through quite a busy period. Well, baby steps I guess, baby steps can finish anything hehe.

Here are some of the activities that friends and members are up to lately.

Godaddy, we have arrived, on the new server and I'm lovin'it~^_^

The move to the new server is complete. I must say, I am very very impressed by the service provided by Godaddy.com. On several occassions, I needed to ask questions right away or the migration would have delays. Godaddy's 24/7 help centre was just a call away, and got to speak to a tech support personnel who was able to answer my questions right away.

Let me share with you how my Godaddy experience was like:

" I know that they are trained to do so, but I am still amazed at how the workers were all able keep up such a high standard of customer service. On one occasion, I needed to delete the server for a reset and reapply for a new host, they walked me through the entire process, they even recommended me an option to choose a server nearer to my visitors, I chose USA(they have Singapore, Australia, China etc). It should be as quick as it gets to load for many of you now. I FELT VERY PAMPERED~^_^

I am so touched, perhaps because I moved from a host who abused their customers. The previous host, ulmb.com, took monthly payments from me, and when I realised and changed to an annual upfront payment, they still kept withdrawing automatic monthly payments, twice before I found out. That is like taking more money than they should and keeping quiet about it. When I sent a message to the customer service, there was no reply EVEN UNTIL NOW! :( I waited 3 days before sending a second message, and by now, I've sent 5 messages and still no reply. ULMB.COM IS THAT BAD. I figured if I stayed on, I will be charged a third time the monthly amount, so I decided to go.

I am still touched and impressed about Godaddy's control manager. The available options and settings are just incredible. Their build in web browser based FTP works just like Facebook/Photobusket/Filezilla combined, I didn't even needed to use my standalone FTP software. Almost all the settings can be modified and there is so much more that I haven't even tried. All the server details are REVEALED and I feel that I OWN MY SERVICE, unlike on the previous host.

Definitely as good as it can get for a web host and domain name registrar. "

The new site is not just good service, the 4th generation hosting hardware and the features offered are in a list twice as long as my previous web host... Phew, Web developers for my site ought to be happy with the new toy I bought for their use~^_^

The clever thing about links, they all point to the right place wherever they files may be physically. 1/4 of the server and its files have been moved to the new server, but it is still expected to take a while. The most difficult part is yet to come. The forums.

I may want to do a clean installation of the forums, so that all the bugs, and accumulated clutter will become history. This way, I can also ensure that all the features, like the gallery and board version are the newest and most current version.

However the forum's galleries are about 800MB, phew~ I wonder who has been uploading non web optimised pics onto the gallery, I have folders with more pictures than there are in the forums and its not even 150MB lol.

The forums will be temporarily disabled when the actual moving of the forum is taking place. Do not be alarmed, it will be in that way for just a few hours. most likely less than the number of fingers and toes combined lol~^_^;

Anyway, work is on its way. I will be updating what is happening to the forum and new server as we speak on Twitter. I'll let everyone know when things are done~^_^

Server migration has been in the planning and it is expected that it will take place in the next few days.

So please do not be surprised if the forums are temporarily inaccessible. It is because when moving the database, I will have to freeze the forum to prevent any changes. Besides, any changes added to the forums when the data is being move will remain on the old server and won't be seen when the migration is over.

I will post a notice on the blog since blogger.com is hosted by Google and not my own host, it will stay up. It probably will stay up in a nuclear attach too~^_^; The new server has so much more features and stretching space for web developers to improve upon the website. I will talk about it when the bulk of the work is done.

Come to think of it, this will be the second time the forums has been moved. For old time friends and fans, you may remember the "proboards" forum and "wyu.ulmb.com". With each move, things has improved and newer features and services has been offered for the visitor's enjoyment. Your fun, is my fun, I can't wait when everything is done~^_^

Feature your artwork in the banner~

Dear kigurumi cosplay lovers. Do you make good drawings? If so will you like your artwork to become inside the banner on this site?

Specifications:
1) Image must be 1000 x 200 pixels with edges tapered to white.
2) Title of website "Kigurumi Cosplay Society" and slogan "Kigurumi cosplay for everyone else" has be present.
3) You can write your personal URL on the banner as long as it does not obscure the title and slogan.
4) You can use any image, your drawing, your kig pictures etc. It does not have to be 100% kigurumi related, but some relevance is preferred,
5) JPG files are preferred for their compact size, though all image formats are supported.
6) Filesize should be optimised for web, otherwise I can do it for you.
7) You can submit more than one or get a friend to help you.

You may notice that the banner changes each time you hit "refresh" on your browser. The first artwork is provided by Zicron Knight as an demonstration.

Right now it only has two images to swap between one another randomly, but I intend to accumulate a fair number of different banner designs. The banner has absolutely no restrictions except for the dimensions, title and slogan. You can put your dog's picture, or gears in an engine. You can put a background of a scene you took in a CON with kigurumi in them etc. Although I'm after mostly kigurumi or cosplay related themes, just be creative, like how GOOGLE draw its name creatively once in a while~

Where were all the work hiding before this~

Just a non related cover girl to start of a post~ Looks like this are really going to get very very busy from now on~ Let me count them here:

1) Got a business plan to present to VCs in mid August (Not Kigurumi^^;)
2) Migrating of website and server to newer, better web host.
3) Full time work~
4) 1 new mask order, with full costume and shoes.
5) Blinking eye project, phew~ waiting for parts.
6) New cosplay character, heh heh~ It'll be a surprise~
7) Daily maintenance and answering of questions on forum/facebook

See lucky 7, blam~ no kidding, just where were all the work hiding before today. If I seem to take ages to reply to real time chats or emails, please forgive me, I think I may need to do less of those for a while.

In fact dear friends, when you send me a message, cutting off the "hi" and "how are you today" and getting straight to the "Its pouring out here today, I need an umbrella" may be more effective in getting a response lol.

I can still chat, but probably just less of the mundane stuff, but don't worry, I still care, its the whole point why I'm busy~^_<

Thank you for all the help offered with the building of the new community website. The intention was to share the work and share the pride. Trying to make something useful to help other kiggers and kig loving people.

Built the website from scratch collecting tutorials, discussions, ideas and pictures in the forums. I think it has came a long way. People finding the information provided useful kind of made me want to make it even better. Its cool isn't it, when you have a goal that seems right~^_^

We are making a new website. Will you like your work to become part of the new Kigurumi Cosplay Society?

I am so thrilled of having the current website which got me to know so many great friends with similar interests. Lately I was strongly touched by the support of your friendship when so many of you responded with ideas and suggestions when I asked for help with the recent blinking eye project. I truly experienced how the effort of a group very quickly overtook what I could accomplish on my own.

After speaking to a few friends here, it seems like all the help I need has always been here and all I needed to do was to ask. Little do many know, that my website is being maintained, repaired and renewed by a few members and friends alike. But the truth is, everyone who are reading this and visiting this website is helping this place a great deal.

I have come to the decision of making this Kigurumi Cosplay Society a more useful place by providing kigurumi cosplay lovers with better services than just being a website showcasing just my own's work. Its true that the forum has been doing a fair job in sharing information and showcasing other people's work, but I think it can be better.

I am thinking of a redesigned Kigurumi Cosplay Society that will feature not just my work, but also other people's work in a non biased way.

To provide kigurumi cosplay lovers with a consolidated information on kigurumi cosplayers and kigurumi mask makers. Of course you will still be able to see my work on the main page. The purpose of this is not to make individual cosplayer websites redundant. On the contrary, it will help bring awareness of emerging websites to the masses and share the visitor traffic. The Kigurumi Cosplay Society forums is now a large gathering of kigurumi cosplay lovers and I wish for the website to promote and share kigurumi cosplay information more effectively.

Kigurumi cosplayers from many different places have posted their pictures and their work in the forum's gallery feature for a long time now. Like myself, all that everyone is after is for more people to appreciate their work and find someone to talk to. I do not intend to take that wish lightly, I think it will benefit everyone to share the community non selfishly.

In order to make this happen, I have found a group of friends which we will work together to solve the technical issues of building the new site. As for 99% of the functionality of the website, that will depend on you members, visitors and friends.

Initially the website will start slow, and like the forums, it will take time to gain the trust of the visitors and members. And then eventually become a lively community. There will be more and more kigurumi mask owners from now on and a centralised gathering place can be a good idea to have.The more support the website receive, the more everyone benefits and thrive. Any suggestions on how to allow kigurumi cosplayers to feature their work more prominently will be much valued.

Withholding the much needed support could happen, but such self centered behavior will not benefit the community as a whole. Ultimately, our goal is to bring kigurumi cosplay to the masses, to nurture understanding, so that future kigurumi cosplayers may be perceived better.

Some features I will like the new website to have includes:

Main page blog updates similar to www.engadget.com. All kiggers will have posting rights(A chief editor will proof and regulate like a current forum moderator)
Feature slideshow show casing random member gallery images and links to their website.
Links page with most recent emphasis
Forums, tutorials, project discussions, general topics, mass orders (like current forum).
Video chat integration. (Finding a way to integrate stickam which has a huge public audience but comments are limited to friends.)
Mask makers information/products page.
Member galleries similar to www.hongfire.com/cg style but open for suggestions.

The website is still in its planning stage. If anyone here has a great suggestion, don't hesitate to shoot it. A community that has a your contribution will always feel more homely and personalised. It is not done before, ain't that exciting? Will you like to give advisory to the new Kigurumi Cosplay Society?

This update will talk about a few things I am aware of happening in the kigurumi cosplay circle of late (But of course, there are tons of kigurumi activity which I'm also not aware of). These include:
-Cici's (Cicelia Winn) completed purple hair, orange eye, gray side-tail Dita.(Hair's different, eyes different, hairstyle's different... is she still Dita >_<; hehe).
-The envy inducing AXCon went by Haru, Kei, Shino, Rinrin, Pool Trooper etc.
-The progress of the revolutionary blinking eye kigurumi mask project and what the ultimate final design is like.
-A new links page underway.
-And I'll touch on the skin-coloured kigurumi bodysuit mass order and a few things at the end.

Dita kigurumi mask
The kigurumi mask on the left is Dita (though I feel it should be called Cici). Well the original customisation was based on Dita from the hit anime Vandread, aired some time ago. Then Cici wanted a purple haired version of the Dita mask with gray side-tails, and the eye colour be orange. (btw, Dita has red hair, blue eyes etc) Hehe... plus a few more customisations, and the mask is completed. Check out more of the completed image shots in the related forum thread here:

Anime Expo 2011
AX Con has just been concluded. A few of our kigurumi veterans have successfully infiltrated the grounds and made themselves known~

One of the best part of the con would most likely be the Mikunopolis concert. Most of the good recordings of the concert has been taken down by copyright claims. But do a search on Youtube and you can still find the Japanese Mikunopolis concert. Its pretty neat, its just like kigurumi cosplay~^_^

The blinking kigurumi mask project
The design on the left is the supposed final design of how the eye will blink, subjected to modification to fit real world conditions. I have placed an order for some parts and they are already on their way from Ebay (Hong Kong actually) to me.

The design if it works, will be quite easy to replicate in future masks in comparison to the air pressure solenoid method devised earlier on. If you look at the earlier result video of the blinking eyes, you would have known that the eyes can now open and close, but I can only control it with my hands for now.

The push solenoids will replace the air pistons and create the pushing force to close and open the eyelids~^_^. Find out the entire blinking eye building process while it is happening here:

Next up, A new Links Page is underway
Aiming to provide a service to kigurumi cosplayers and kigurumi lovers alike, the links page is a crucial component. However if you look at how things are right now, it seems to be pretty crappy at best. There are tons of broken links and I haven't had time to update new URLs into the list of links.

Well hopefully that is about to change as we have enlisted the help of a l33t h@x0r by the name of H377_r0|< (hell_rok, but I think the l33t spelling is cooler) to h@x the link page into a omgwtfnobbq better one. How will it turn out, we shall see~^_^

Bodysuit mass order
The hand picked high quality material has been sent to the tailor to make the suits. I reckon they will be completed within a week and get sent back to me. Well, there after I will have to dye them. I wrote a cute story of how I made the high quality bodysuits on my Facebook. Add me on Facebook and check it out on my wall~^_^

Mikunopolis~ USA~

Damned that Draconpern and Rinrin, they got to see Mikunopolis live while I get to watch it on this youtube video~^_^; Hehe, just wanted to rant about it, I'm fine, no worries. I suppose anyone whose familiar with the Vocaloid's recent activities would have seen the similiar concerts in Japan... on Youtube as well for me.

Indeed, it is quite amazing. The effect does look like a real 3D person is singing on the stage. The movements are very well choreographed and looked so beautiful dancing. They probably are better off in endurance and liveliness compared to real life artists.

When I watched the video, I keep realising how much the performance look like kigurumi cosplay. It looks almost identical to a slender little girl, dressed in kigurumi cosplay costume and doing the show up there. I wonder how amazing it would be if a kigurumi cosplayer can put on that outfit and parade the public grounds. Perhaps there would be countless fans who will fall in love with her at first sight.

One IMPORTANT thing that I noted from the performance is that THE VOCALOID'S EYES KEEPS BLINKING~!!! It does make the character appear more alive, and probably will break the uncanny feeling traditional kig masks give to the public. THIS FREAKIN* MADE ME WANNA FINISH THE BLINKING SAYA MASK A.S.A.P...... GGRAOWLAGH. Wow, what was that? A growl? Sweet. Imagine if a kigurumi mask's face can achive blinking, it will be no different from the 3D Mikus and other vocaloids. I think we're getting somewhere with the blinking eye no jutsu. Definitely going somewhere.

P.S.... if a kig mask isn't singing, the mouth doesn't need to move right? After I tackle the blinking eyes, let's see if I have some time to think about a moving mouth~^_^; I must be crazy.

In need of huge help. All ideas are welcomed.

Question: Where and how to put the pistons so they would be able to push the flaps?

I want to make kigurumi eyes blink. One final touch and it could be turned into reality. But I am puzzling over where and how to install the final crucial bit. The placement of the air pistons so they will connect with the eye lids.

The air pistons may or may not be the best solution even in this case. You you thought of an even better method to drive the eyelid flaps, please let me know.

The problem now is that the mask is curved on the inside. There is very little room to install the pistons, and the pistons needs to be able to extend as well.

Is there any kind of electronic switch or simple circuit I can build that when released, inverts the direction of a motor? Building a micro controller circuit is probably out of the question, but simple on/off dc motors are still viable.

Preferably, I do not wish to rely on electronic circuits as I see that the battery most certainly will not last a 4-5 hour continuous driving. And kigurumi cosplays are meant to last that long or longer.

So how, if not the pistons, can I drive the eyelids? Any creative problem solving lovers around I can discuss this with? If you have an idea, best tell me how to do it as well. It best explained with an illustration or sketch ^_^

Another step completed in the blinking eye project.

All these improvising and re-inventing made me recall how easy it was to make ponytails on kigurumi masks in comparison to this.

Shocking, absolutely no less than shocking. The eye lashes part of the project has been overly underestimated in complexity. I twitted the other day that making the eye lashes was like inventing the light bulb, do you know that story of Thomas Edison? He tried and failed over 10,000 designs, well mine was not as dramatic, but still no less than 10 designs.

So many things has changed in the design, even the material used has been changed. I was quite busy figuring out how to get it to work as well as doing my other priorities that I haven't had time to update much in the forums or on Facebook.

Well, the good news is. It is completed. And it is working. That is the sliding action of the eye lashes controlled by the eye lids.

Do not be mistaken by the animated GIF file I made earlier of the eyes blinking. They are stop motion animation. That means I move the blinking action with my hands. Now, you can check out the video of the blinking action that is controlled by the "flaps" mechanism behind the mask in real time. (The pistons are not installed yet, but now the pushing force from the pistons can finally be transferred to the eyelids through the "flaps" interface).

What problems will be encountered in the pistons part of the project is yet to be known. I am expecting the need to invent and solve a few issues at least, and I have some idea of what can be done.

Everything in the title picture you see are failed designs. The final working design is not in the picture. The title picture is only a general view of the numerous experimentation and trial designs used before the finding one that could work. It was harder than imagined to have a working connection between the eye lashes and the eyelids because of the way the eye lashes must move.

The picture on the left shows the different designs use for the same parts. I began making parts for one eye only because they keep failing to work. And more than once, the design which I thought would work once fully installed onto the mask, does not work as expected. Drawn up dozens of designs one after another.

I have put some of the designs up in the forum thread. I think it will be interesting to some in seeing the different types of movable eye lashes that can be thought up. From a single-arm-double-joint to a 5-segment-eyelash, it ought to amuse a few.

Not only the shape of the inverting eyelashes changed, even the joints needed redesigning. The joints seen in the picture on the left are all failed joint designs. The final working one look something like a bird's head.

There is much to share about this part of the project. Make sure you drop by the blinking eye forum thread to check out the whole story. I will put up the final working design there as well.

With this, I think its finally entering the last stage of the blinking eye project. The installation of the air pressure pistons.

Kigurumi mask eyes closed~

I have painted and inserted the eye lids behind the eye lashes. I tested their movement and it moved as I wish they did. I have yet fastened the eyelids behind the eyes on the inside of the mask as yet, so there is more shadow over the eye lids in the animated GIF file below.

Although it is already moving well with the current design I used, I am still not 100% comfortable that the eye lashes design has been perfected yet. I need to think of a better design for the joints behind the eye lashes so that it will move even more smoother than it does now.

This is what I am pondering about right now. I made another stop motion animated GIF below. I haven't fastened the eye lids behind the eye sockets so you will see more shadow as there is still a gap there. But the overall effect has been quite satisfactory so far.

The project has been thus far fairly complicated but it was extremely fun making it. There hasn't been this much excitement since the times when I make new masks and talked about their making processes.

The eye section is nearly completed, but it isn't. I need to find a better joint design or there would be problems in the future. I have yet contemplated on how the pistons will go inside the mask and I foresee that it will be an even more challenging task. There isn't a lot of room in the mask and the head has to fit in it. Well, I'll know when I get there.

Moving eye lashes are attached~

The cover girl today is Yu in a silver metallic maid lycra outfit as promised. The costume consist of a metallic silver bodysuit with skirt and 3 accessories. The accessories are a pair of metallic white gloves, a metallic white apron and metallic silver knee high socks. There's enough metallic matter here to turn Yu into a knightress in shiny armour.

The purpose of this update is to show some of the progress of the blinking eye mechanism which I'm building. There is a breakthrough today on the eye lashes. If you have been following my posts, the eye lashes uses nails as joints. This posed a problem because it is quite "thick". This made the eye lashes very bulky.

I wouldn't have knew it would be not suitable before I tried making it, so I can't really say I regretted using this method to form the joints. So I knew the joins needs to be super thin. I went back to my initial idea of joining the eyelashes by interlocking the eye lashes to itself, in other words ORIGAMI. It must be the theory of infinite intelligence working here, when you are focused on some issues, solutions which you never would have known sometimes just appear.

And so I made a loop and strap attachment at the back of the eye lashes. The good thing about this design is that it is only 3 layers of the eyelash plastic sheets thick. Also, there are no exposed nails as no nails are used (damned, spent $7 on the nails, one more thing to put in the storeroom).

Check it out when it moves, I don't know about you, but I'm kinda in love with how its turning out right now. This is a stop motion animated gif of the eyelashes in action.

I have put up more pictures and detailed description on how the flipping eye lashes are made in the forums. And yes, I've attached the eyebrows to the modified Saya mask and taken pictures of it. Check it out in the forum thread. Please give your thoughts.

Need joint suggestion for last piece of the puzzle, inverting eyelashes

Calling out to all craft and tool users out there. I need some help with suggestions for the joints for bendable eye lashes. For those you just dropped by today, I am making a mask project right now trying to create blinking eyes for masks.

Right now, I am trying to figure out the last bit of the design for inverting eyelashes. I have drawn a diagram below to illustrate the nature of my design. It involves separating the conventional single piece eyelashes into 3 segments which can swivel and thus invert. To better understand what I mean, see the picture below.

To repeat why I need to do this. Conventional eyelashes on kigurumi masks are n-shaped as seen on the top left picture. When the eyelid closes, I need to eyelashes to follow the eyelid down and change from u-shape, to n-shaped as shown in bottom right of the diagram.

This is the design, simple, yet I'm now stuck trying to find suitable items to be used as joints for the pivots you see in the picture. There are altogether 4 points of pivots in one eyelash.

Some items which I found to be closely feasible are items such as: 3mm snap rivets, mini nuts and bolts for handheld gadgets and wires. But each of these some problems and are not perfectly suited. As for the rivets and mini nuts and bolts, 3mm is still too thick. The eyelashes are only as thick as 5 pieces of paper in a stack.

Some readers has given me good ideas and suggestions before. Emal me, post a comment here, or best option write in the forums so I can ask you questions. I hope these good samaritans will appear once more and give me some good suggestions~^_^

The blinking eyes project is still in a fairly early stage. Even though the first prototype is about to be completed, it is uncertain whether it will completely work or not until it is finished and tested. And also, the method used to make the prototype may not be the most refined method, so ideas are definitely welcomed.
The header picture this time is of Yu (the very first kigurumi mask from this website) wearing a form fitting, white, metallic lycra dress. It's designed to look like a simplified ninja costume with finger bound arm length gloves. More pictures below, I hope you like it~

Trying to make my kigurumi mask blink~ 70% complete >_^

Not sure if it will look as perfect as the picture on the left, but hell, I'll know when its built.

During the long talk with Draconpern regarding several issues including making blinking kigurumi masks. I came to decide on two methods to create a pushing mechanism. (Grown bored of waiting for Tool Prooper for a suggestion hehe~^_^;) And some visitors have guessed what I was making from the hints I posted up some time ago. One method is to use air pressure to create a pushing force to close the eyelids. The other is to build a solenoid and control the movement with buttons.

I decided to start building the air pressure operated method since I have no idea how I can press buttons using my face yet, using the tongue would eventually make all foods taste like nothing to me I guess.

EASIER SAID THAN DONE. I spend quite a number of weeks, on and off, pondering on a design to build the pushing mechanism. One which can be control from within the mask itself. YES, just like the ironman suit~!

The design involved blowing air into pistons which will push the eyelids down.The next problem came when I realise I need the piston to retract as well. Brainstormed for ideas of a spring mechanism for a while. and finally, found a retractable string device which I lessen the spring's strength so my pistons can push it.

Got a few parts from the hardware store, and put them all together, it is finished. This is how it looked like. I made a pair because I wish the eyes to be able to be control independently. This is so that the mask will be able to *WINK*~ >_^

Well, now I came to another block. I think it is time to seek the processing power from more than one brain. Now that I have the pushing mechanism, I can make the eyelids move down. The issue here now is how to make the eyelashes move down as well. Not only does it need to move down, it needs to flip from its n-shape into a u-shape when the eyelids are closed. Any suggestions or ideas will be fully appreciated.

I took a video of how the pistons work, and they are quite effective too. Can't wait to make my kigurumi suit into an ironman suit and privatise defence~^_^

Hitagi Senjougahara in pvc bunny suit video on Youtube

There was a Hitagi Senjougahara shoot some time ago, and one of it was her in a pvc bunny suit. I really like the character from Bakemonogatari, I strongly encourage everyone to watch it. The story is very interesting and has depth and Hitagi san, she's so gorgeous.

I added a video oh her in the pvc bunny suit up on my Youtube channel today. Its been a long time since the pictures of this shoot has been posted. They are not in the gallery though I think, its in a blog post in November 2009.

I still remember when I made the suit, I posted pictures and bits of it as well in a number of around Mar09 I think. Yu was the first to cosplay in it and there is a gallery of Yu in this bunny suit in the gallery section. I modeled the bunny suit to resemble Suzumiya Haruhi's concert bunny suit when she sang "God Knows" in the anime.(Click on link to visit)

Also, there is a kigurumi bodysuit mass order thread in the forums right now. There are now a couple of places kigurumi cosplay lovers can purchase their bodysuits and I am not the only one selling them. New high quality kigurumi bodysuit mass order.

A new high quality kigurumi skin coloured bodysuit mass order has been started. The previous stock has ran out and of late, a number of friends and members are asking for the purchase of the bodysuits. Anyone who wishes to join the order must jump on this bandwagon quickly. if you will like to commission a mask in the future or soon, I may not be able to provide a HQ bodysuit if it is out of stock and there isn't a minimum number of orders.

It might be interesting so I'll share with you the situation involved in making a bodysuit, it is entirely a loss when I commission the suits one at a time. I suppose that because the high quality suit fabric has been found at only one manufacturer so far the production process involves a lot of shipping and logistics. The material has to get shipped from supplier to tailor and then to me, which I then ship to the buyer. The price which I'm selling one suit for is clearly insufficient to cover the 3 international shipping involved not to mention any labour. That is why mass order is the way to go, not exactly to give anyone a huge discount (The suits are already at the huge discount to other suit makers) but just to make it possible for everyone who wants a kigurumi skin toned bodysuit to have one~^_^.

The story of how the HQ bodysuit came about goes like this:
A few kigger friends and myself have always compared our suits at off meets and realised that the colour and durability is limited. The spandex available are just very limited and low quality. So I looked around for some spandex manufacturers and got them to send us a sample of their spandex. After searching long and hard, we thought we have found it and we went ahead and invested on having the first few bodysuits made from this HQ spandex.

Taking the Japanese kigurumi bodysuits as benchmark, our HQ material suits are more opaque, more rubbery and more heavy duty than the Japan made ones. We were not comparing which is better, we still can't decide yet, but we were convinced that our own suit can hold its own against the suits made in Japan. You can actually feel the tightness it exerts all over your body. I found that it is a lot easier to dye than normal lycra and I have been using mine for 2 years without problems now (Apart from some dirty fingers >_<).

A different evening at Misato's home.

A fun and exciting talk of just one of the many evenings that Shinji, Asuka and Misato spends in their apartment. Oh not forgetting their pet emperor penguin Pen Pen. The story was written by Pool Trooper, a forum regular telling of how Asuka came about in the picture previously posted~

"So tell me again why we are doing this Shinji?” Asuka asked innocently to her fellow EVA pilot and sole room-mate until their quite possibly drunk guardian, Misato, got back from where-ever she was. Since the beginning of the month, both teenagers have had a lot of free time and not a whole lot to due, what with school being out for the summer as well as nary an angel popping its head out to attack NERV. He’s never asked to take pictures of me before, let alone go shopping with me till a few weeks ago. She thought, posing somewhat seductively as a camera flashed from just a few feet away.

“I-I-It’s because ever since Touji and Hikari found this box in the back, they’ve been clamoring about us doing this. S-So I thought we might as well get it done and o-over with. No, I don’t know what else is in the box; I only saw that red shirt you are wearing on top of it.” Grinning, Asuka stepped closer to the kitchen table, and began to peek inside the box Shinji was pointing at, curious as to what was in store for her. Hmm let’s see, a black notebook, a nice dress, oooh I wonder if this will fit me at all, couple of sexy linger….Wait…What the hell?

“Third Child just wha-wha-what the hell are you going for? T-t-trying to make me w-w-wear this and t-t-take pictures?” Lifting ever so casually a pair of S+M ropes, as well as a white cloth that looked like it could fit around her mouth; Asuka never noticed that her face was red with both embarrassment and quite possibly not so pure thoughts of her own. “Dumkoff! I I I will never put this on! Scheiße! Warum zum Teufel hat Misato nur dieses Zeug? What else is in here?”

Shinji, shocked and highly embarrassed at the fact that he didn’t understand just why his friends had a hard time keeping a straight face, had no clue as to what kind of situation he got himself into. “C-Calm down Asuka, I had no idea that kind of stuff was in there!! How was I supposed to know Ms Katsuragi had a thing for cos….I was in the hospital at the time and they were raging drunk when they wore those nurse outfits, so that doesn’t count!” Dodging the playboy bunny out fit Asuka threw at him, he began to wonder if the current situation was karma or if the universe was playing a prank on him. There’s gotta be something to calm her down! “L-look, just pick one of the outfits, so that we can take a picture of it and so the others don’t hound us about it when they come back.”

“How am I supposed to pick an outfit? They’re all to se-scandalous to wear around you! I’d rather let the penguin choose what I wear! I doubt he could even get Rei to put on any of the-“

“Wark!” Sitting right next to the box, wearing what appeared to be a commissar’s cap, was Pen-Pen. With an aura of confidence, as if he was watching the two teens the entire time, Pen-Pen slowly stretched one of his flippers out and held out a photo for them to see. Within seconds of doing this, the entire kitchen went quiet, words caught up in Shinji’s mouth while Asuka just gaped widely.

Haaa…Just how did the penguin convince me to do this? He can’t even talk. Asuka thought to herself, slowly adjusting the ropes that were tied across her body so they fit a bit more comfortably. It took less than ten minutes after seeing the picture of Rei in a maid outfit, and her own denial of that ever happening, before she realized what she was doing in order to prove herself superior. Looking at Shinji, despite her own embarrassment of having him take pictures of her in such a state, she couldn’t help but feel strangely satisfied about what was happening. It was as if some unnoticed desire of hers was being fulfilled and that she could finally move on to other things that caught her fancy. At least Rei isn’t here, I don’t know what I’d do if she showed up.

“Heyyyyyy~ What’cha doing?” Says a whisper-like female voice.

A Story, can you make a series of events out of the pictures?

Any creative writers/drawers around, I have a favour to ask from you. I am thinking of putting up an interesting read regarding a few pictures that I have taken recently. In simple terms, is someone interested in joining the pictures into a story?

I'm looking for some creative story writer to write a short story (just for fun) about an eventful day about Asuka. It is best coupled with a single or a couple (or as many as you like) of sketches/drawings connecting the scenes from which how Asuka got from the first picture, to the second picture below~^_^;

The story can be from the point of view of Asuka, a third person or even you yourself witnessing the event. I think it will be fun, and creative at the same time. Try to make the story suitable for reading for all ages. As long as it doesn't have too explicit material, I will post it up for everyone to enjoy (if it you have a more daring version, feel free to send it to me~^_^ It could go in the forum thread~). If there are several stories, I intend to put the other stories in the fanart page or forum page.

And there we have the second picture. I wanted to make a shibari photoshoot which I can post up publicly. So there is no nudity or geni... whatever you get the point. Think of it as fashion in ropes.

But I didn't want to post the pictures up as they are, it may be a little boring and harder to justify such a kinky photo shoot. If it is all for a story, then I'm happy that it has a meaning to be here~^_^ Self justification hehe~ So please start sending me some stories okie~... and I'll put up the whole gallery.

~Oh btw, did you noticed that I turned the eye brows upside down? I initially wanted to make new brows that are curved upwards so to make a frowned look. But it seem just peeling off and re-attaching the brows upside down did the trick. You can try this too, if your mask's brow can be peeled off~^_^ I use black thick plastic strips so its very durable~

Facebook has claimed Wyu and Facebook comment plugins added to website

This banner you see on the left is what you'll see on Facebook when you leave a comment or "like" a post here on this website. I've recently create a Facebook profile for Wyu, lol at long last. And thank you for your add on Facebook.

Having Wyu join Facebook was not my primary intention, I was trying to add Facebook plugins on my website and the only way to do it is to have a Facebook developer account. And so, now I'm on Facebook. Facebook has given me some interesting pictures of kig mask attempts by various friends on there. I only wish they could have shared their pictures and mask making adventures with me. They all look so good and appears to have been fun to make.

Well anyway, there are a few new features on the website.
1) Firstly, I will shorten main page posts from now onwards to speed up loading time. Posts will be truncated with a "Read More" button appearing so that more pictures and videos can be revealed only when necessary. This I believe will save visitors some time and bandwidth in comparison to loading the heavy videos and images on the entire page right from the start.

2) Also to speed things up, only 7 posts appear on each page as compared to 10 before.

3) When "Read More" is clicked, users are taken into the topic page and a Facebook comment box is now available at the bottom. Please feel free to comment and remember to "Like" any posts that you enjoyed reading. Your feedback and encouragement has been a strong motivation to keep me kigging.

4) A Facebook add button has been added together with the Twitter and Google connect buttons on the right side.

5) The flash animated slide show has been updated with new pictures ~^_^

6) Some rearranging of layout and features.

Nana to Kaoru, another great manga adaptation

Oh no~~ Asuka has been abducted by unknown assailants and has been bound up? Looks like I'll need help with the ransom from you, just support by ordering a kigurumi mask~^_^

Actually, the reason for Asuka being in this state is because she's started taking "breathers", from Kaoru hehe~ But please do not be mistaken, it is not Kaoru kun form Evangelion, he's still obsessed with Shinji kun. The Kaoru kun in this case is Kaoru Sugimura from the popular softcore ecchi manga, Nana to Kaoru by artist, Amazume Ryuta. It is NOT a hentai manga, read on and watch the review to find out more.

I've came across the manga series since some time ago and just thought that its a rather well done ecchi manga and nothing more. But it seems that I'm not the only one who thinks its quite well made, its has gotten a live action adaptation and even an anime OVA being released. Its not really a surprise, and I'm quite happy to see it becoming so. It is after all no small publication with so far 6 volumes, a new series and a handful of specials.

Though its ecchi, it revolves around mainly softcore and a good storyline. It talks about two childhood friends who goes to the same high school where the girl is a beautiful elite student and the male is an SM freak and castout. Being neighbours and old friends, the girl began seeking help to relieve stress from her busy schedule in the form the two secretly call "breathers" sessions. Seems like the story grew from there to involve tons of humour and also unparallelled good manga artwork. Scenes can get very erotic, but NO explicit material or genitals are shown. Probably that's why it managed to get such a huge media following as its safe.

In order to best understand the story, one has to first read the manga. There are 4 series, Nana to Kaoru, Nana to Kaoru YA, Nana to Kaoru Arashi, Nana to Kaoru Specials. You have to read from the beginning in order not to be confused, which is the original "Nana to Kaoru". Then you can proceed to the rest in the same order as the names I show above, the specials are excepted.

As for the live action well, most people who liked how the drawings are made can find a number of mistakes with real people acting it out. LoL, well I guess thats something to deal with. If you like the manga, you wouldn't miss the live action. I've watched it and its not bad. A live depiction of a favourited manga, no complains. Ushijima's new Asuka plugsuit~LIKE!~

A quick update on the state of some new masks which I'm making. The T-fa model will be ready to be painted very soon. You may notice that on one of the Saya models, the eyes are cut open completely. Hehe, thats for an experimental model that I am trying to make. Hope that I will be able to finish it not tooooooo long later >_< hehe. Can you make a guess as to what I am trying to do with it?

The exciting thingy that I saw in the recent weeks is this new plugsuit modeled by a japanese manga and anime cosplayer named Ushijima. She has modeled in various costumes and also did an Ayanami Rei plugsuit and Shikinami Asuka test plugsuit in the past. I especially like the plugsuit pictures, no surprises, I'm a fan of Asuka's plugsuit cosplays too. And so, I have kept the whole collection of her plugsuit cosplays in the dozens.

However it seems like she has a new cosplay up her closet. A few weeks ago, pictures of Ushijima in Asuka's traditional plugsuit appeared on the net. And soon after videos of a seemingly cosplay themed latex event with her in the plugsuit also appeared on YouTube. I can recognise other characters on stage such as Kamen Rider W.

This plugsuit has got to be the best matching and best looking plugsuit ever. The 3D protruding parts on the suit stands out well, the seams and gaps are not flat but have height. And yet at the same time, it doesn't have the problem that many Asuka plugsuits cosplayers have where the hard shoulder pad makes the shoulder looks too broad. A tight fitting overall suit really does match how it looks like in anime, while at the same time, the lines and knobs makes it that it is not merely a latex catsuit.

I guess all that is left is for her to shine the suit up and put on Asuka's wig. She did so in her other plugsuit photoshoots. I think she wore black boots in this event to protect her feet, when taken off should complete the look. Well I thought I might share this pretty cool find with you in case you haven't seen it. Enjoy her video, and let's hope pictures of her album in the plugsuit comes out soon.

I know, it is a very crappy attempt at making a spinning Asuka. The reason being, it wasn't truly planned to be. Well I found a few pictures that when stitched together looks like Asuka is turning. I'll try to make a better one the next time around~^_^

Thank you everyone for the support you've given me all these years. I've decided to make the kigurumi masks more affordable. The prices have been updated in the products page. Well, come to think of it, all the costs of production has been covered, and there are no immediate projects right away. I thought, why not make it easier for more people to obtain, so more people can enjoy kigurumi cosplay. It may even turn out quicker for me to find buyers too. Most of the methods of mask making has been optimised, so it will cost less effort and resources, so I'm passing on the savings to you. If I find time, I might try to make a new model too.

Shikinami Asuka Live Video

A video of Shikinami Asuka in her test plugsuit has been uploaded onto YouTube. The suit is partially incomplete so perhaps I will have to make Asuka do another shoot sometime later. This video was intended to be a trial shoot for Asuka to see how she'll look like in full costume. The recording was taken a few weeks back the same time when the pictures for the Shikinami Asuka in her test plugsuit were taken.

I really like the costume, it seems as if I have already amassed all of Asuka's costumes. I am aware that I haven't gotten the school uniform, but that hasn't been very high up in my wishlist all the while. Going as far as to purchase it to complete the set is a little costly for me. If someone is willing to donate me one, I will gladly accept~^_^

Hehe, I noticed that I've been putting up updates continuously for 3 days in a row. It hasn't been so since when I started the website almost 7 years ago. Well, it was most fun when think of it right at the beginning. The Yu mask came a very long way. Talking about the Yu mask, I think it is gone for good now. It has been sold to a private collector.

Smooth and shiny

One of the things which kept me busy for the past few days was to finish up a Saya model and working on the other T-fa model mentioned in the forums. The Saya mask has been finished and I'm just showing a few photographs of the pictures taken. It takes a huge amount of labour getting from a rough cast to the state you see now hehe~

I have given some thought about making a new model perhaps and started looking for a look which I might like. But everywhere I looked, I can't find a look that I will be seriously interested to kig in.

I'm hoping for a smiling open mouthed design, but I'm not sure if that would be for the best since in live shows, it seems strange to keep the smile maxed out. And since I've more time to do live than take photoshoots lately, it is making me decide whether it is a good idea.

Another reason is that I've looked at many anime characters which I like and to cosplay them I don't really have to make a new design. In fact a new design will look very similar to the current designs. The Saya or T-fa or Meer masks can portray them all.

I am still looking for the special look for a new mask if there will be any, I wonder will anything appear before me if I asked in my post.

Asuka live chats in full latex bodysuit

This picture on the left of Asuka is taken during a later live chat taken today on Stickam. I guess this is the only picture taken. Asuka started off wearing her pink camisole in the style from Evangelion 2.0. Then after about 1 hour, she changed into her yellow sun dress, another signature outfit of hers. A third and final attire change put her in a wine red stretch top and white skirt.

It was quite a fun chat today, a fellow kigger Odette joined in the Stickam chat. It has been such a long time since a group chat performance to the public has been made. I still recall once there were 4 altogether, Yukie, Yukari and Aqua I very vaguely recall. During that time it was a peak hour as well and we got roughly 500 simultaneous viewers. Hehe, though the chat window moved with so much chatter, its hard to read, perform and respond at the same time~ So anyway, it was a much more quiet live chat today with just under 120 simultaneous viewers. Must be the time of the day for some bulk of the viewers, it seems like it is past 4am in the US. And thanks to the fastest drawer in the west(so far) for helping to moderate the chatroom. Hehe, thanks everyone.

Half a page and I've yet touched the title topic of this update. Asuka did a live chat wearing her modified full body latex catsuit the other night. Every time there was a live chat in latex, it seems to generate a lot of fun. And there were requests asking for more of such sessions so I decided to oblige. The latex bodysuit worn is made up of the same red latex catsuit seen last worn by Natsuru, the one without gloves and feet. I got a pair of matching red latex gloves and socks to finally complete the full enclosure.

Its a good experience having gloves and feet attached separately I learnt. It is actually quite a fast fit. The gloves and feet once worn and smacked over/under the catsuit's sleeves, stick like it were one single piece. There isn't any issue of the gloves or feet shifting off and revealing skin. That means its a good thing too since if wanted to, the gloves and feet can be removed for stretching the fingers/toes(or to drain water ^_^;).

Though not as tight as the black latex bodysuit, the red one stick onto the skin like glue and fitted so well. It got really hot, sticky and wet inside, but the euphoria rises with passing time. By the time it was near the end of the chat, Asuka still wishes to stay in the suit. I guess thats one of the nice part about wearing latex. It tortures but makes you love it~^_^

I've embedded the video taken during the live chat posted on Youtube below. You will notice that I deliberately retained the original sound instead of the usually embedded background music. The latex makes a fair amount of noise when moving in it. Hehe, if you notice the squeaks, its just the suit~^_^ I hope you enjoy the video as much as I enjoyed making it. GANTZ: Movie adaptation. What a fan might call doing it right~!

Lest we forget, the Death Note Trilogy movie, obviously the Japanese version whichever there are, was a huge success. Now for a second time I am wowed by another Japanese movie adaptation of possibly my FAVOURITE manga GANTZ!

(For people who do not know what is GANTZ, I've given a brief overview 3 paragraphs down)

For the rest of you who are GANTZ manga readers, you would understand why this movie received a movie adaptation and they deserved it, its real movie material. And guess whose in it, "L Lawliet, oops" from Death Note plays Kato Masuru, one of the lead characters.

Just like the Death Note movie, there are small changes to the original story to make it more suitable for the big screen. Other than that, everything else is preserved and carbon copied. Even most of the storyline and character designs. Not a surprise, it didn't look weird nor cheesy at all (Dragonball Evolution popped into my mind, what a flop). A "B grade" Japanese made manga movie adaptation beats Hollywood multi-million production anytime, or so at least in recent times. Don't get me wrong, I've no doubts Hollywood can outdo anyone with their technology, experience and budget, just that the screen writers get off with the wrong foot by trying to reinvent the wheel so too often.

From the pictures I posted from the movie (Shouldn't be spoilers) you can see the alike-ness of the transition from paper to the big screen. As promised, for people who have not read GANTZ, here is an overview.

GANTZ is a science fiction thriller manga by Hiroya Oku. It talks about a world hidden from view where a group of unwilling are forced to fight aliens who are taking refuge on earth. Yes, its idea is a little similar to the movie "Men In Black", by Will Smith, only that GANTZ is more brutal and less comedy. In other words, more believable or realistic (in fictional sense), whichever you want to call it. From there, the story gets really intense. The unwilling people I talked about forced to fight aliens, they are recruited from dead people. And what I mean by that is that assuming you meet an untimely death(a real death), like from a car accident or committed suicide, GANTZ teleports your body into his room and repairs any damage. From then on, your life belongs to GANTZ. You are already dead anyway to begin with, so GANTZ decidedly throws you into a mortal death match against superhuman aliens with very little explanation.

But rest assure, the people sent to fight the aliens do not have to do it empty handed. GANTZ provides guns and swords to aid their quest. Not just any gun or any sword. The gun is something like a super high tech time delay gun that you don't even need to point it at the enemy to shoot. In the manga the people call it the microwave gun. And the sword, its long blade comes out from the handle from nowhere. Like a light saber, but this one is super sharp metal. And the most valuable equipment of all, the machine suit, as seen in the picture on the left. It is a skin tight black latex/pvc/lycra Ironman suit that gives the wearer superhuman strength and huge damage tolerance. The wearer can be thrown through a wall and not get hurt. They can also punch through concrete and jump over a building.

Now that you get the idea, the fight begins. However, don't think its so easy just because of these super godly equipments. The aliens all have different unknown abilities, and can kill just as well. Read the manga if you wish to know more. One things though, the manga may not be suitable for minors as it contains violence and sexually risque illustrations. If you're not already a fan of GANTZ, it wouldn't be a bad idea to become one now.

From the screenshots I've posted so far, you can see that the design and storyline very much follow the manga spot on. It was to a fan's delight to see the machine suit created to such correctness as well as the microwave guns, GANTZ ball etc. I think the suit looks great with the glowing discs and the bulging muscles. The glossiness and the texture of the suit looks exactly what to expect, not latex or PVC and not Lycra but something in between. Truly alien to the word.

Some of the fights are shortened due to precious movie time and the story is condensed a little. Its like Harry Potter, you'll complain if you know the story from the book, but the whole idea and quality is retained.

I really like the movie perhaps because I've been reading GANTZ for so many years(7yrs? 8yrs?). And finally seeing it as a movie with real actors and actresses taking the story from the pages into the real world is just amazing. In the end of the movie, it appears that there will be a sequel. And the really hot female lead character from the manga finally makes her appearance. She looks awesome in the black machine suit. Kinda makes me want to get one of those hehe.

This Doll Girls DVD, interesting~

Upcoming~ I will post some pictures of Aira's photoshoot taken of her in black and in white. If you recall, those pictures were the theme of last year's Halloween shoot, saw these pictures and realised that they were unposted yet a couple days ago.

I wanted to talk about something I found when traversing the waves standing on my surfboard on the world wide web. Its a pretty cute kigurumi video. I have seen those masks use before, but not on a consolidated website or gallery. They look really cute, I guess once again you gotta be in Japan to buy them. If I had more time and spare cash, I definitely feel like making a new model again some time.

The girls in the video looks so doll like, they are so cute. Apart from the highly different colour looking zentai LoL... It made me think that if there were an off meet in the future, I will be interested in filming a doll video like this one where the kiggers just lay there and be dolls~^_^.

Did someone mentioned more latex?

Since the mood is in latex of late, I figured might as well post the pictures of Aira in her full body latex catsuit. It is a newer photo shoot of the same catsuit in the video embedded in the previous post

Well, its not like I have that much funds to own several latex suits(though I wish I can), as of now I only have 3. One is in ruins from a failed attempt in making a latex Asuka plugsuit lol~ I'm sure you can find pictures of the other suit somewhere, I recall posting a shot of it in the post where I wrote about some history.

I have been trying to polish this catsuit for some time, it wasn't this shiny when it came, and I don't know any good ways of polishing it then as well. Then after some time, I realised I can buy cheap latex lubricant from eBay and those lubes makes fantastic polishing liquid. Using a brand called "Gun Oil". I think its good too for fixing up some rusty guns lying around. Yeah, not everyone moved on from gas operated to lasers as yet.

It always looks cool when taking pictures of one of my kig dolls in latex. Aira stay in the catsuit for quite some time, not wanting to be peeled out due to the "comfortable" sensations in the suit. These pictures are taken just before Aira left, looks pretty tight doesn't she~^^

Some updates, took up a few commissions lately, but none of any specific anime characters. Just generic mask with hair ones of late. Does anyone wish for me to commission some interesting character based designs for them?

Er, no this is NOT a hardcore XXX video. Lately I came across a very interesting movie filmed in Japan called "Rubbers Ou Onna"(ラバーズ覆う女). It appears to mean something like "Rubbers", "Concealed", "Lady" It seems to be a 2010 film, but its DVD version was released not too long ago apparently. I couldn't even find the subtitles online for it when I did a quick search, realised that its probably due to it being newly released, so decided to watch it without subtitles. Well if you've been watching as much Japanese language flicks as I have, its not that painful an ordeal.

It has a rather romantic storyline to it. Unlike the picture on the left, the female lead character is actually very demure and you will not be seeing her dressed like that most of the time. The story talks about a woman in her 20s, who has a fetish with rubber. She struggles a newly formed relationship with one of her colleagues who does not seem to know how to appreciate this fetish of her's. More will be explained in the movie as to why our lead actress has a love for rubber and the ending seems to be a little too fantasy-like to be true, yet still believable. I kinda like the scenes where the female lead enjoys wearing latex under her normal work clothes to work, ooh kinky ~

I find the female lead quite attractive in her own passive way. And you probably will also think why is the boyfriend so silly as to not know having a girlfriend who is into rubber can possibly allow many exciting events in their relationship. Yet understandable.

This picture is from a screen shot from one of the scenes. Hmm, this website haven't been reviewing movies much at all. I guess its something that happens once in a while. Not sure how many people actually went to obtain the stuff recommended. Oh if you're hoping for a sexually hardcore scenes from this movie, then forget it. This movie is a pure romance with a rather fetish theme to it. Japan seems to have many like-kind interesting movies I recently found out when browsing around the place I found this one. If you found any interesting stuff, do share it with me ok~^_^. Anyway, have a look at the trailer, its quite nice~^_^

As a tribute to this movie, I have added my own "Rubbers Ou Onna" video on youtube. It is an old video recorded on Stickam around the time when the Saya mask first debut. Its silent as no sound was recorded during the live chat. The same black rubber catsuit was shown a few weeks ago modeled by Aira, the other mask. Yup, the progressing polishing appears to have made it shinier and shinier. Not sure if this suit is a little smaller than it should be or does all latex feel like that, it is extremely tight. Only further enhances the sensation this way. Hope you like it. Hehe, remember to rate and comment~^_^

Back to life chat~ Peeling away today~

Took a trial run on doing a live chat in a different setting today. Looks to be turning out fine. So I thought about having a few layers to peel off along the way during the performance. Oh by, once again our Ms Shikinami Asuka.

Began the show wearing a black jacket over some black shiny wear, a black long sleeved top, miniskirt and leggings. Seems that no pictures were taken of the original outfit. Took the black jacket off shortly as its really hot inside. Its quite a warmth preserving/inducing jacket indeed.

The layer following the black shiny stuff is a cyan leotard and some red stretch satin leggings. Those are actually part of an earlier version of the Asuka plugsuit but project scrapped and made it into leggings instead. Each part if taken off bit by bit, so you will see some shots of like the black pants still with the leotard and a little mixing here and there.

The next layer following the leotard is just a plain blue metallic tube top with matching panties. Alot of heat was lifted together with the peeling of each layer. Spent the most time in this outfit chatting and posing for a few shots. Quite satisfied with the turnout on Stickam and Webcamnow. Hopefully it has brought more awareness and interest to more people with on kigurumi ~^_<

The session lasted about 3 hours, by then there is nothing left to peel off without becoming indecent. So shortly after that, chatted a little while more and then ended the chat to head out to do some shopping~^_^ Posted some pictures below, I hope its clear enough, most of the shots are taken through a webcam. Shikinami Asuka test plugsuit gallery up~

A cosplay attempt at the making of the Test Plugsuit that Shikinami Asuka wore~ The Shikinami Asuka test plugsuit gallery is opened~ I hope to add a few things here and there to improve upon it when I have time~^_^;

I'm amazed at it myself, how long has it been, more than a year I recall, since anything if put up in the gallery. There has been picture sets that that have just as many pictures to make a gallery in the past but just didn't made it into the gallery. Anyway, I split up the pictures into two galleries, there are just that many pictures. The gallery can be accessed by clicking on the picture above.

The plugsuit is made from stretch satin, thus the semi polished glossy look. Normal lycra just wouldn't normally get any shine as a plugsuit should be. It originally is a custom ordered red suit with a gold torso made from the same tailor I tailor make my HQ zentai from. All the other accessories and decals are made by myself~^_^

I guess it took a little luck as well for the base suit's edges to match the figure so well, it was quite a rough estimate, like especially where the butt line where the red meets the gold. The waist band around the hips are made from a foam strip wrapped with the same coloured stretch satin. The buttons are painted plastic fibreglass resin buttons I made using bottle caps as a model. The yellow strips are strips of yellow lycra. Like the orignal Asuka plugsuit, the cuffs are made from foam balls carved into that shape. The sticks sticking out of the cuffs are painted wooden sticks hehe. I had to make the hairpieces completely from scratch sculpting a clay model to cast from.

Phew~ having made the first Asuka plugsuit really gave me alot of ideas and experiences in the making of this suit~^_^ I hope you like it, I love how it looks. It was really nice to have a real Shikinami Asuka at my place for some posed pictures~ 0_^

No internet for 1 week~@_@

The perils of moving. One has a chance of getting stranded on an internet-less island for a period of time. And considering that 1 day without internet is equivalent in suffering to living 1 month as a caveman(in bondage~^^), imagine what I have to go through in the new cave which I moved into~@_@. Good thing that the internet drought is nearing the end of its reign on me, its now less than a handful of days left to go.
Phew, how did I manage to write such a confusing paragraph, thank my late night-ness for causing it.

Just wish to do some update, oh and if you're wondering how I'm able to get online, its through tethering my iPhone 3G connection. Its not that nice since its heaps slow, has a microscopic quota of 500MB (which 2/5 of it is used up) and keeps dropping out.

As some may know, I've moved. Its something like changing the map of whichever mmo you're playing, just that you're in it, and each mission lasts much longer. Haven't had much time to do anything on kig, but things are settling down. Just waiting for the net to return and almost everything is back to normal.

I really want to share the Shikinami Asuka in her test plugsuit pictures with you, but haven't had much time to do so apart from small bits of updates here and there. So here are some, just to keep the updates coming, there's some more I wish to post later.

Happy Chinese Valentine's

Happy Chinese Valentine's day~ My busy schedule has caused me to miss any activities for the conventional 14th February Saint Valentine's day. How I wished I had time like in previous years to do a shoot or a live chat. To be precise, I was on a flight on the 14th of February and was busy packing prior to that.

Nevertheless, every few hours or so, I kept thinking about updating my site with a valentine's day message and at last, it seems that I managed to put up a short post here. I actually haven't realised that its the 15th day of the Lunar New Year, which is celebrated by the chinese in a way like valentine's day. It is known as 元宵节 which is spelt as "Yuan Xiao Jie", to pronounce it, it is closer to the english phonics "Yu-en See-ao Jee-ye". It marks the end of the Lunar New Year.

Hehe, enough of the introducing the chinese festive. I wonder if your culture has a Saint Valentine's day equivalent and if so will you like to share what it is and when? Obviously if you only celebrate the 14th Feb one, thats needs no introduction. Actually, did you know that 14th February is also known as the International Friendship day? I wish everyone a Happy Valentine's day as well as a Happy Friendship day.

I'm working on the pictures now, I hope to post them up soon if time permits ~^_^; I'm quite busy lately but I still read the forums daily and manage and prune stuff when I come across something which needs to be done. Those bosoms are dying for attention, don't you wish to touch them >_< The last update's posts took up the entire blog page~ that's a first. On to today's post. Got more of Aira's pictures ready a few days ago so I thought I'll post them up today. Some of the shots here are of her without the black mini jacket on. I hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I enjoyed taking these pictures~^_^It is nearly the lunar new year and if you have friends or if you yourself is Chinese in upbringing, it will most likely be a week of visiting and family reunions for you. The first day of the lunar new year falls on this Thursday. What plans do you have for this day?I'll be unavailable until the third week of February for working on and arranging new mask commissions and suit orders. Buyers who have contacted me have their emails stored and I'll get back to you once I return. Might not be able to finalize any orders before March. Is there an event which you wish to attend anytime soon? Please keep me informed. It will take about 8 to 12 weeks to make new masks and order new suits, so do finalise your order as early as conditions permit.Well, back to packing up my room. I like to see my room neat and tidy in the turn of the new year. The title of this post is a a borrowed phrase, not sure if anyone recognised it straight away. It is the title of one of the opening themes of Kamen Rider Decade, probably my favourite of all the Kamen Rider series, it reminds me of Megaman(Rockman) also my all time fav.

Is is really here, February of 2011, well looks like it is, and just like last week that we had the new year fireworks. It has been five years since Yu first appeared, a total of 10 years if including when I first encountered kigurumi in 2000 and started plans to make a mask.

100 shots of history.
I decided to be nostalgic and write up a summary of what happened that brought about Kigurumi Cosplay Society today since even before my first kigurumi mask appeared. It all began about 10 years ago. I'm not trying to write a grand father's bedtime story, I think it might be more interesting than you think, so why not give it a read. I have included a centennial number of images thus the 100 shots.

Early 2000s~ First encounter with the kig kind
My first encounter with kigurumi was of an Asuka character in her red plugsuit in the early 2000s. Then I was watching anime rather frequently and have looked through out the internet for cosplay images. No surprise, eventually found a kigurumi cosplay. It really captivated me as being able to see an anime character appear in real life was something new. Even more captivating was the fact that a living person is able to be transformed completed into an anime character, a level which simple cosplay and make up just can't reach. Somehow it felt different from normal cosplay and I have thus thought about wanting to try it some day.

During that time, I haven't even seen how a kigurumi mask look like. I don't have the slightest idea how one can be made too. I just kept visiting the same sites and collecting the pictures of kigurumi cosplays together with normal cosplays. As the size of my exposure to the art grew, so was my understanding on how a mask can be made. Fast forwarding to around 2004, I decided to try and make my own kigurumi mask.

2004~ Want Kig got Masquerade

First picture of 100, I think most people have not seen this before. The picture on the left is of the first prototype I made, the very first attempt of me in making a mask. Yes indeed it is a mask, well... turns out that its very similiar to a masquerade mask. It is small and thin, nothing like that of a kigurumi mask haha~ I actually made two of them, the one on the right doesn't have holes cut into it while the one on the left does. Eventually, it is the one of the right which gets turned into the base for the Yu mask and gets a remodeling.

2006~ Prototype and Yu mask began
It isn't until about 2 years after the first prototype has begun that I spent some time during a holiday break to give mask making another attempt. It really takes time and money to make a kigurumi mask. Without my first attempt, I would never had known that a handful of 1kilogram bags of clay is far from enough. I made at least 2 additional trips to the art store to purchase more clay and eventually more than a handful of trips to get all the other supplies such as lacquer and sand paper. Tried a number of craft materials never used before too and even redid the mask a few times.

The pictures above are of the Yu mask. I kept the unfinished sculpture soft and modifiable at various stages using wet cloth and plastic wrap to keep the moisture in. People who had read my mask making tutorials will have seen the shots above. I purposely took a long time in sculpting the Yu mask as I didn't want any mistakes. The mask was designed in mind to use normal wigs at first. Just any wig purchased can be put on the Yu mask with very little modification. Far from today's dual core(wigs pun) designs. On most days, I would have sculpt a little, and left it for a day before returning to try and look for mistakes from yesterday.

2007 March~ Kigurumi with Yu
Between the first picture and the later 3 I actually left it for a year before resuming hehe~ Just too much work, lost interest for a while and had other issues to take care of. Well, abiding the law of attraction, it did eventually finished and the above was how it looked like. At this stage, I am no different from many of the members in the forums whom just completed their first attempt. I have no real experience in taking pictures and also no experience of cosplaying in kigurumi. My first few kigurumi cosplay pictures emerge in 2007.

From here on, I started acquiring costumes for Yu and started taking pictures. The early pictures were horrible looking and the poses were awkward lol... Well, after some time, things tend to improve. My first few images were of Yu in her High Priestess costume from Ragnarok Online. Then there was the pink cheongsam and the Chun Li costumes.

During that time was kind of full on, taking pictures nearly every day and having updates nearly every day as well for quite a few months. I ever had Japanese visitors tell me that I update my website more frequently than any other kigurumi cosplayer they know of. Hehe, of course that isn't the case now. Wanting to make more kigrumi cosplayer friends, I emailed a number of people and asked if they can place a link to my website on their links page~ For old friends, they might remember the name of my website was originally called Kigurumi with Yu. That is also the the name of my links still left on some of the kigurumi websites which I asked to be linked from. Everything just grew from there.

2007 June~ Winter arrived
Things continue, and more costumes and a new wig is obtained. Upon having the new wig a new character is born. Winter first made her appearance sometime in June of 2007. It was winter season when she first arrive, that which inspired the name.

The first image is of Winter (Yu mask) with her hair left as it is when it arrived, in the second and third pictures Winter's hair has been restyled a little, it is much neater looking. Notice that all instances of hair on the Yu mask is soft, no hair styling or fixing products are used as they are just wigs pulled over the mask directly.

Kigurumi cosplays exploded even more from here on. A lot of new costumes and custom orders are made. In a sense, I realised that Yu will be able to cosplay all the characters that I adore and somehow wanted to have Yu cosplay it all and I wanted it with full on excitement. A pink wig is obtained and Yu is transformed into Meer Campbell.

2007 October~ The bustline technique
Meer Campbell sure took a lot of pictures, there are altogether 6 galleries of her in the gallery section where 5 of the are done in the Yu mask. I think thats the largest number of galleries for any character. There was a number of videos as well.

It was through this period of time, the bustline technique was developed. It is very easy to achieve and costs nearly nothing, and it can be removed and reused on different costumes unlimited times. In the past, tight fitting costumes all obey real world physics and that included kigurumi cosplayers. Bustlines are nothing like in anime where breasts appear as two separate droplet shaped objects hanging from the chest. In order to get that effect, actual molded shapes have to be attached onto the chest or non reversible modification have to be made to the costumes. It can take a lot of time to make and can even cost a fair bit. I plan on writing a detailed explanation of the bustline technique shortly, I've even taken pictures of the steps recently.

From then on, Yu became sexier than ever. The effect of a deep rack on the chest and the appeal of its sexiness must have inspired others perhaps, common it is today to see sexy looking bustlines on kigurumi cosplayers.

2008 October~ Tess
Aw it sure brings back memoirs, with a year of kigging done on the Yu mask, a desire to create once again emerges. A new mask is made in the image of Yu. Oh boy and I thought I knew how to make a mask. The result were slightly different from my expectations. Well, there isn't a big deal of a problem with it. It is still a cute with a latino sort of tan sporting high brows. This is when I first came up with the understanding that "The outcome is unknown all the way until it is in a picture". Proved to be right time and time again, thus the mask making marathon aka maskathon (I made that up).

Like the Yu mask, the Tess mask retains the ability to use normal wigs and use only one wig at first. Eventually it too became a dual core(wig) version. I am very grateful that I made two commissions on the Tess mask, I still am, no regrets. The proceeds enabled me to progress to make future models which is otherwise not possible. In a sense, the Tess mask got quite a large amount of fame and exposure than most of my future styles. I think a lot has happened, I will regard it as good memory.

With Meer Campbell cosplayed, a new character which I adore came about. She is C.C. or also called C2 from the TV series Code Geass. Ordered a green wig and once again swapped around Yu's hair with the new green one. Got a few new costumes and got Yu to cosplay C.C. for me. It is shown in the first picture on the left below.

2008 November~ The C.C. mask

Somehow, Yu's large blue eyes though looked good in green wig, she didn't quite resemble C.C.'s doe golden eyed look. This made me decide to make a new mask in the likeness of C.C. The next two pictures on the right of Yu as C.C. were of the C.C. mask in the making.

And Alas, the C.C. mask was made. It has the little girl look on her, very different in air in comparison to the Yu mask. This marked the beginning of the use of newer masks and less of the Yu mask.The C.C. mask managed to pull off the C.C. cosplay fairly well, no doubt it definitely takes the combination of costume and props to complete the whole picture. For this purpose the Cheese-Kun plushie was made. Its hand sewn from a yellow cotton sack and filled with styrofoam beads hehe.... until today, Cheese-Kun is still lying around lazily.

Th C.C. mask was used quit a fair bit. It is the first model to use dual core(wigs pun) perfectly and also eventually styled for a good hair fix. It is used interchangeably with the Yu mask as some costumes still looks better with the Yu mask. However, I was not satisfied and wanted to make a better fitting and cuter looking mask. The C.C. mask was big, it is not as close fitting as the newer masks. It is the same mold that eventually lead to the Saya mask. And so, leaving the C.C. original sculpt alone, I bought materials for another mask. This time around I wanted to make a smiling open mouth kigurumi mask. The pictures below of C.C. are some of the last few, she sure has a mysterious air around her. The new owner posted a few pictures after obtaining her but was never heard of since, I hope she is living a good new life somewhere now. The first picture in the second row is the next mask produced in line, the Yoko mask.

2009 January~ Yoko cosplays Meer
Fast forwarding ahead about a year, the Yoko mask is now mainstream. The last of the C.C. masks have been sold and the original head form sculpt has been modified for the upcoming Ignis mask. I shall come to Ignis shortly after this. The Yoko mask and original head form mold is still around today which is why the Yoko mask is still available for commissions.

Yoko was originally designed to cosplay Yoko from the TV series Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. hehe, that would be so epic. I really like that character, but funding and time is scarce then, so the project was never taken up. I wouldn't want to do a partial cosplay without Yoko's famous rifle and the books are quite expensive too.

Nevertheless, Yoko pulled of the character of Meer Campbell fantastically. Till today, the Yoko mask is the happiest looking cute type mask I have (T-fa is the other cute type mask, she's more of a demure beauty design). The Yoko mask being the new dual wig designs, have a more anime looking hair style compared to the Yu mask. That made the cosplay more alike to anime and Meer by far has the most galleries to date. As I do not keep multiple masks for self use, I eventually sold them all but they can be remade as the original mold is still around.

Quite satisfied I am with the Yoko mask, more so than the C.C. mask at that time, so I decided to make a new mask. So the next mask in line produced is the T-fa mask.

2009 April~ the T-fa mask
The T-fa mask is made from fresh clay and sculpted from nothing. Imagine the number of headforms and masks lying around at my place now taking up room, not very tidy.

The T-fa mask is modeled after a figurine of Yagyuu Jubei from Hyakku Ryouran Samurai Girls. As most people can guess, the first cosplay I had in mind for the T-fa mask was Tifa from FF7(To be exact, the FF7-AC variant).

The Tifa mask turned out much cuter than I could have ever imagined. Hehe, once again the "The outcome is unknown all the way until it is in a picture" is true again. Don't get me wrong, that theory I came up with was never about how good or bad a mask was, it is just a good rule of thumb I keep in mind of. T-fa's cuteness went on and cosplayed in several other costumes such as Sailor mars and the only wedding gown shoot so far.

2009 May~ Yu's last few appearances
By this time, the new masks bearing their own high level of cuteness are becoming used more and more
often.

The main reason to this is also because the new masks are easier to maintain and put on/off. Also, the new wigs are not compatible with the Yu mask as the new masks uses 2 wigs while Yu only 1. And lastly, the Yu mask is aged, and the paintwork fading in comparison to the freshly painted new masks. And so, the Yu mask eventually stopped appearing with the nurse and bunny girl being the last proper shoots taken.

There is also a black PVC bondage suit shoot of Yu and a black latex shoot but those pictures have not been fully released yet. The Yu mask really served me well. She lead a whole line of kigurumi cosplays and proven herself a success. To put a finger on how much Yu did for the website, even till today, over 50% of all pictures ever taken were of the Yu mask. That ratio will decline with time, but she sure left a lasting impression. The newer masks just hasn't gotten enough exposure and most were sold within months while Yu stuck around for about 2 years. The Yu mask has been sold to a forum member Oreh, and hopefully will be brought back to life and become active again.

2009 June~ Ignis
Ignis is the name of a female warrior figurine I often see on the net. I thought its a rather pretty name so decided to call the new mask Ignis.

The Ignis mask was initially customised to the C.C. look. That style lasted only a few shots hehe, then a brown wig was attached and the Ignis mask is used to cosplay an original character. In hindsight, the C.C. mask and the Ignis mask are actually quite attractive looking, yet I sold them all without retaining the originals. I wanted to reduce the size and make the face slimmer, and so I took it apart. I think there were altogether 3 Ignis masks sold, definitely sexiest looking piece of work I had.

2009 July~ Asuka
This period of time in 2009 sure has a large number of kigurumi mask making activities. Looks like almost every other month a new mask model is emerging. The Ignis mask is a modified C.C. mask and now, modifying the Ignis mask I made the Asuka mask. I did a few shots of Asuka in her red plugsuit and the lolita dress. Perhaps the most time spent on any character I have is Asuka, with 5 plug suits to date and 3 masks made and used to cosplay her.

It was a fairly busy period of time, when the Asuka mask is around, so I didn't get a chance to take too many pictures. There was a yellow sun dress shoot and a chinese gown shoot as well and I had to pack it away to attend to other matters. I then sold the mask to make room for a new mask project, the funds also helped me in getting the new project going. Come to think of it, I think the new mask owner has been busy, I hope they will post some cosplay pictures of the Asuka mask when they get to use it.

By this time, I learnt hat I can save money and resources by using the same original head form to make new head form designs. That is why I haven't had old designs kept too long with me, in a sense,that makes the earlier mask models unique doesn't it~ I started on the Saya mask project.

2009 October~ Creating the Saya mask
As usual, there is no way I can tell how a mask will turn out before its totally finished and a picture of its cosplay will tell. Below are the beginning steps in the making of the Saya mask.

At this point, we are looking at picture 64 of 100. To reuse an existing mask head form to make a new one, firstly the paintwork has to be sanded off. Its quite hard a task. The sanding machines can only help work on the wider sides. Narrow and closer edges still require the use of hands. The pictures above show the brief steps where the Saya mask is made.

After about a month of tinkering with the head form, the new mask is complete. The Saya mask is currently my latest model. It takes time to remake head forms and there has been too many things to do to allow for new models to appear. The first character the Saya mask got to portray is Hitagi Senjougahara from the TV series Bakemonogatari. Pictures of her can be seen below.

The pictures above is showing hair in the process of being attached to the mask. She did a number of shoots including a very cute bunny girl cosplay and a black gown cosplay. There are quite a few anime characters I wanted to try at that time and so not before long, the purple pony tail wig has been swapped with a light blue on to cosplay Natsuru Senou from the TV series Kampfer.

December 2009~ Natsuru after Hitagi
Many would have heard of the gender bender anime TV series Kampfer. I took fancy of the lead character quite a bit and brought the character to life.

I simply love Natsuru's look, check out how she look in the smooth red latex catsuit~ yum. She probably appeared in more shoots so far than any other character cosplayed by the Saya mask. She even took part in an offline meeting with Yukari and Yuki. Well, at the moment, her customisation has been taken apart, it will take some effort to restore her look. And because she sports a ponytail hair style, it is actually more difficult to style such hairstyles compared to straight flowing styles. As long as I can find time, that wouldn't be a problem, but its not a priority now.

It appears that there will be another season of Kampfer airing soon. There are currently no plans on making another Natsuru Senou custom, but I amd more than happy to take a willing kigger's commission for a Natsuru Senou mask if need be~

2010 January~ Shikinami Asuka
I have come to the conclusion that keeping a single mask while switching the hair is the most space economic way of keeping kigurumi masks and cosplaying multiple characters. And so some time later, I decided to change the Natsuru Senou hairstyle and cosplay Asuka Shikinami instead.

The Asuka custom highly resembles Sonsaku Hakufu from Ikkitousen when the red hair clips are not worn. I recall some members in the forums also noticed the resemblance. Perhaps I should try a Sonsaku cosplay if there is a chance in the future. Most of the costumes I can think of for Asuka has been tried such as the official artwork pink top, the lolita dress and the yellow sun dress. The rest of the are just original costumes like the nurse and the blue camisole.

I suppose I'm probably in love with Asuka, I actually tried making another red plugsuit for her this time using latex material. I would imagine it will turn out super hot. Unfortunately, the plan has been scrapped as the suit has been damaged by my inexperience lol.

2010 September~ Aira the Natsuru clone
Not satisfied with the first Natsuru Senou hair, I ordered a couple of ocean blue wigs to try and make the Natsuru mask again. Well, I'm sure if you have been following the website, you would know I'm referring to the Aira mask.

Aira made her first appearance at live chats in stickam, irc and msn. No photo shoots were done during that time but thanks to a helpful friend, some screenshots have been taken and they were posted up before. From the frequency of my updates during this time(about once a month or less) I must say that I've been super occupied along the lines of business, relationship and vice versa. There were a number of mask commissions during that time too so it was kind of hectic(but it was fun of course).

Manage to take a few photo shoots of Aira for Halloween and posted them up almost before it is too late. The Christmas and New Year shots on the other hand were not as fortunate, didn't managed to find time for those.

2011 January~ Shikinami Asuka Test plugsuit
As of currently, the Aira mask has been taken apart. And because she's a pony tail model as well, it will be very hard to revive her. As the test plugsuit for Shikinami Asuka is completed, I decided to change the Saya custom into Asuka again to do a proper cosplay.

With this, the tour into the history of Kigurumi Cosplay Society is near its end. I still have a large number of unposted images of Aira and Shikinami Asuka. not to mention while digging up pictures to write about this history, I found a ton of unposted pictures of all former characters too, including risque looking attires.

This write up took me about 4 hours from 3 separate days to write up. Haha, just decided to write it for fun at a whim. Its been interesting recalling the past happenings. Hmm I hope if you did read through the whole thing that you enjoyed the information. It is a really really summarised version of events that took place. It will be too tedious to write everything recorded out. For that, go to the forums, most of my key work have been written up and discussed in high detail haha... not that anyone would read it all.

Aira black casual part 1

So far the break has been quite relaxing, gotten some time to work on some posts which I've been wanting to post. Here are some pictures of the photoshoot I did of Aira in black shiny casual wear. Aira did a live chat in the same attire about a month ago but without the black skirt and the black jacket.

There are altogether 4 garments on her in this shoot even though it is hard to notice the skirt. She has a tight fitting black long sleeved spandex dress and shiny tight leggings that slack off near the foot. A mini skirt goes over the leggings at the hip and a mini black hooded jacket goes around her back.

There are a large number of pictures taken and I've prepared a few pictures this time and will put up shots of her in this attire over a few posts. There's a live chat recording done as well, hopefully I will have time to go through them all and put it up soon.

Went out to buy a new laptop for someone I know today. Phew the selections for cheap computers are so huge, I always enjoy looking at whats the latest new power house machine today. In the end bought a pink and white laptop that is going for a discount as hardly anyone buys pink machines apart from ladies. Though pink, its packed with 4GB ram and an i5 processor and 500GB of HDD space and Radeon dedicated graphics. Its more impressive when its only sold for US700. Not to mention the package which came with it included headphones, keyboard protector, a mouse, laptop bag, laptop pouch even a base cooling fan. Looks like tech is getting cheaper and more powerful by the day hehe~

A blue streak at a glance

In the previous post, I mentioned that I took a few pics of Aira before swapping her wig with Asuka's. Wanted to share a pic of the costume she wore during the shoot before she left. hardly had that many pics of Aira now that I think of it.

This is her in sort of clubbing wear and partly casual, don't know which, let me know if you do. Wearing slack mock latex leggings, a metallic black long sleeve top and miniskirt. She has a black padded jacket around the shoulders. Wanted to go for the complete black and shiny look.

And there's another set of attire that probably will take some time to be re-worn again considering the large number of other clothes she has to try on. Hmm tell me would it be feasible if I sell the clothes worn about once and get the money to buy new ones? For shoots primarily. Would you buy that? I'll keep the updates coming. Just a sneak peak of whats in store below.

Recently just finished the Asuka test plugsuit costume and needed the Asuka mask to do a shoot in it. I don't a dozen of masks for each character I cosplay as the masks are extremely bulky. All I do is change the hair and hair style to become a different character. As such, I've disassembled Aira's setup and re-configured the Saya mask into Asuka. Its a chore to do up a pony tail style mask, so I reckon I won't bother putting the hair back anytime soon. Of course, I took a few shoots of Aira before transforming her.

Phew time to take some time travelling, I'm away from my usual abode for 3 weeks. I brought my laptop (thats why i can write this) so I'll take some free time to post up some pics taken a couple of days ago during a live chat session. Moving?

The recent mask projects have finished, two more to ship out by next week. It is a white haired Saya mask and a Pink haired Yoko mask, yes its the same as the Meer Campbell mask and its the third one so far. Meer sure is popular~

I'll be moving shortly so I've got a few things which I thought people might want to purchase from existing stock. There is an M sized HQ zentai and an L sized HQ zentai. Also there original Yu mask is looking for a new owner. Let me know quickly, I'll have to dispose of them one way or another to make moving easier.

With this lot, phew quite a number of masks have been made and sold this far. Most of which I haven't seen since I ship them to their new owners. Most of them tells me that they are busy. Still I keep hoping that whenever they can find time or have taken pictures of them using the masks, they would show a few pictures of their attempts.

Done and sent is a repaired mask for a friend and mask owner. Took a picture of Micah's Esther mask and the HQ suit accompanying it. As mentioned above, two similar HQ suit are in stock. I took heaps of pictures this time thinking of making a new suit dye-ing tutorial. I hope to write it up when I get some time to, it will be most useful to suit owners or people who wants to dye their own suits.

There have been questions about suit dye-ing which I haven't answered properly for a long time. I hope to touch on it in detail this time around. It encompasses the home made technique of dye-ing white HQ bodysuit material with a combination of two colours, yellow and red for a very accurate and professional skin tone finish. Now that makes me burn with desire to talk technical but time doesn't allow for today.

Had a live chat for 5 hours last evening, just to kill some boredom. Had to thank Nova for taking the live chat video pictures posted here, I haven't prepared to take any shoots, been lazy of late hehe~I call the blue hair character Aira and she did 3 costumes during that night, one more of a cyan leotard, skirt and knee socks which I didn't get any pictures of. The ones which I have pictures of are with Aira in a black shiny mini dress and the other of Aira in a blue tube and white shorts.

Its been a long time since the last update, and I will like to use this update to mention about the new project orders by some buyers. There will be some suit orders and a few mask orders. I'll need to finish them very quickly as I'll be traveling overseas for a long holiday in less than a couple of months. The new mask projects can be found in the forums under the "Mask order and Customisation" section. There is a 'White Haired Saya custom' and a 'Pink Haired Meer custom' and expecting one or two more. Sailor Pluto Saya custom completed~

Finished another pre-ordered custom mask. This time its for Sailor Pluto from the anime of the 90s~ Sailormoon. Hmm Sailor Pluto is one of my favourite Sailormoon characters too I recall, its a nice chance to be making "her"~^_^ Lacking her tiara, it looks a little short of Sailor Pluto, but I don't make costumes to go with the mask afterall. Tried photo shopping a tiara into the picture on the right. I'll leave it to the new owner to finish the rest of the work to make it come true I suppose.

Of late I've been occupied it all kinds of things. Something very distasteful happened to me just yesterday, I've been scammed of an iPhone 3Gs which I tried selling on Ebay. Sigh, its kinda regretable even though I've been with Ebay/Paypal for so long, I succumb to such a scheme.I kinda blame Paypal for being misleading and unjust. The payment arrived directly into my Paypal and I proceeded to send the item. Then I got an alert saying that I need to provide evidence of my shipping to prove that my transaction is valid. I then quickly posted the item and provided proof of my shipping as evidence. Then Paypal reverse the payment, I went wtf. Then they told me that I shipped to an address which is not the registered address of the payer. So the money got returned to the buyer(scammer now). Very unscrupulous indeed. Acting nice and asking deliberately for me to send an item and exploiting the silly Paypal flaw that money gets refunded when shipping address differs from payers registered address.

Yes I'm telling you out there how the scam is done. So be careful of this. Perhaps 101 or 1001 more people will get cheated this way before Paypal know they can't just return the money without having a better understanding of the situation. And oh, this is the address of the scammer:

Angel or devil~ Gave Saya a new hairdo~ Have not decided on what to call her yet, considering calling her Aira~ Oh she's not from any anime, an original character.
Did a live show at 12 midnight on Halloween's day hehe~ Chatted with friends for a little while and then went off to take these pictures ^_^

Did the live in the black coloured attire only. I never planned on doing two shoots, but recalled that I have white angel wings as well as black so decided to do a angel and devil kinda thingy hehe.

So, what will you be doing this Halloween. As for me, nothing much, got time writing I wish to do and some mask making to complete. Wish you have the terrifyingly good time and a frightfully amazing day~

Akiyama Mio Saya custom

Just wanted to give a quick update on a new mask which was completed this afternoon. It will be shipped to the new owner tomorrow. Hopefully we'll be seeing more pictures of her again when the new owner does her up and bring her to life.

For people who are not familiar with this Akiyama Mio character, she is one o f a group of 4 main characters from the hit anime series K-ON! Probably the most popular among the 4 of them. Doe eyed, shy and firm in personality, she's like the elder sister within the group though she sometimes become so cute, she resembles a baby.

There has been a thread started for this mask project, I haven't had too much time to spend detailing about the project lately but I have updated more pictures of the completed mask in this thread. It can be accessed from the link below:

Took a little break~

I had a little time from a previously full on schedule to do a little kigging and make rapid progress with some mask orders. Took Asuka has been kept away for quite a long time, and finally allowed her out to have some fun, and a pleasant live chat. Did manage to see Taka-san, and a few other kig friends on live chats in the irc chatroom, ustream and stickam.

Having donated the bulk of my wardrobe away, anything costume related are no longer with me. What are available are the casual style ones. I am beginning to appreciate the economy and ease of obtaining casual attire compared to cosplay attires. It makes bringing out kigs less time and cash demanding and they look hell damn trendy no less. Asuka wore a stretch halter dress with a pink mini coat and latex leggings in during the live chat.

I figured that I didn't have time to take pictures of Asuka, and rather spend more time letting Asuka catch up with her friends after the long absence. Therefore a video recording of Asuka playing around infront of the camera during the live chat is recorded instead of taking pictures. The video is attached below in my youtube channel. I hope you can leave a nice feedback of your thoughts and give a good rating~^_^. Not sure why some parts of the video came out a little jerky but its mostly fine~

Busy busy busy till September 30th

Just wish to put up and update, just to touch on matters of mask and suit orders and a little about this new anime called "Highschool of the dead" if you haven't come across it.

Customers who ordered just suits should have received their suits or are about to as they have all been sent out sometime 2 weeks ago (sheesh, see how bad I am with the update backlogs lol). As for mask customers, the good news is that the wigs have all arrived so there won't be any delay in terms of the hair attachment once the mask is finished. As for the masks, they are in the painting stage as of now. I've been working on them steadily, though there are a number of urgent matters which I need to attend to at the same time, such as selling of one of my businesses by the end of September.

If any of you who purchased a mask wishes for an update on matters, please feel free to send me an email or catch me on MSN(if you can manage to do that), though I seldom have time to do that now. There are threads created in the forum for all of the upcoming projects, please drop by the mask orders and customisation section and find out more about the mask characters. I myself can't wait to finish the masks, there are some really interesting characters coming up and I wish to do them well. Some of my all time fav chars too, like Sailor Pluto from Sailormoon and Mio-chan from K-ON!

Well, while waiting for updates (or waiting for anything at all that matters such as old age or christmas or both), there is this really cool anime airing right now. "Highshool of the dead" is its name. You probably can guess what it is about, sounds like Left 4 Dead, Dawn of the Dead and Resident Evil along those lines. Yeah is a zombie anime... come to think of it, its probably one of the few zombie animes I can think of (actually its the only one I can recall now entirely focusing on zombies).

SO WHY IS IT SO COOL? Thats because zombies are the cool dudes now. Check out how successful iphone/facebook/android apps such as Plant vs Zombies and Zombie Farm are doing. And heaps of knock offs are earning a fair bit with the zombie themed craze. Ever played Left 4 Dead on your PC/Console? Its one hell of a fun filled zombie busting game. Anyway, like I said, zombies are kinda making a trend in the entertainment scene lately. If you're unsure what "Highschool of the Dead: is about, I'll say is a little kinda like Left 4 Dead. Where a few survivors of a country/global zombie epidemic try to bust their way to safety and survive (plus bonus ecchi ^_^). So, what you waiting for, go check it out, its good.

I should be able to finish the masks shortly after end of September and have the shipped so that I can work on the new orders. I'll keep you updated. Hihi~ Once again I wish to make an announcement, my computer has just returned to a functional state if you saw my previous posts that it was broken. Will buyers, if you haven't contacted me to verify your order details, please do so as soon as you can. As far as I can recall, two buyers have not confirmed their final details with me, if it is you, please do so soon. Otherwise it could delay the production process. We are entering the Halloween season and makers of costume products are having huge order backlogs.

As stated in the title of the post, the first suits will be good to go in nearly no time. The suits have arrived today and I will need to make a few hours to dye them. After dye-ing, they should dry over the weekend and I will be able to ship them to you.

All the masks have been casted and some sanded and polished. The cold temperature these few months made fibreglass resin poor to work with and slow to cure. That stage has been over now, and things should progress more timely from now on. I am now easily reachable contact me at anytime to get follow ups. Phew after a long duration of grueling torture, I have finally regain my freedom. That grueling torture which I'm speaking about are the days without a computer to use T_T. Haha... turned out that I realised that I can nearly do everything I need without a real computer thanks to the availability of iPhones and friends~^_^

Being free to move around again, I have hit a hard truth that I am super duper back logged in my duties and will have to get down to sorted them out asap. Having said that, I might be slow in my updates for a while (and since when is that new >_<)

There are a couple more mask orders which came in. Dear buyers, I truly thank you for your patience and support. I have casted all the masks and are still in the process of sanding and filling them. The wig orders are on their way and the suits should arrive in a matter of days. I have edited and published a new video of the Mai Shiranui mask attached below. Now that I've mentioned it, I wish to talk back on the topic of my computer again. I have sent the old high spec gaming laptop for repairs and will be back soon which I will sell it off afterwards, any interested parties?~^_^ That said, I have gotten a new laptop, brief specs are: Asus N61-JQ Intel-i7 ATI-HD5370-1GB 500GB-HDD 4GBDDR3 15.6" Blu-ray/DVD laptop. Its superb. It met all my stringent requirements for a new rig and also at a really affordable price~^_^ What most intrigued me is that the Quad Cores of the i7 in this latest model are actuall Quad Dual Logic Cores, which means I have a total of 8 Logical Cores. I'm overjoyed when I found that out by surprise. My friend's i7 only has 4 logical cores. Read more in the forums.

Oops, laptop bricked :(

My ultra high spec gaming laptop has bricked T_T and worse bit is that the warranty finished in February this year T_T T_T... I'm expecting an expensive repair as high spec gaming laptops with high spec integrated nVidia GeForce 8600M graphics cards costs a nuke and an international space station.

Worse bit is that service centres have been known to put non warrantied laptops on a lower priority but not sure if thats the case. Which means i might need to wait longer than normal. The thing is, if the repairs quoted me more than $400, I will buy the Asus G2S (my lappy toppy) mainboard from Ebay and replace it myself for $240. I can even upgrade the notebook CPU to 2.4Ghz Core 2 Duo for $85 more. But that of course will take about 2 weeks to arrive to me (usually 10 working days) which means... 2 weeks of using web and blogging on my iphone :(

Actually, whoever said mobile phones will take over computers in the future is spot on... they actually work pretty well, Just need to bear with a few microscopic issues.

Apart from that, I've been really really busy lately with my businesses. I haven't forgotten or neglected the kigurumi mask orders one bit, the accompanying HQ zentais are on their way~^_^ But I must warn that they will take a little longer than 2 weeks (i used to be able to finish and sell a mask in 2 weeks) more like 2+ months now. Well, still within market standards lol... and beaten it. Ok, nvm~ ^_^

The heading picture is a picture of Mai in her casual attire, something she might be wearing on a date with Terry Bogard~ Thats also the one of the pictures in the set which I wished to release if not for my lappy toppy turning into a paper weight. Asuka in black latex live chat video~

The new mask orders have got their HQ suit orders placed as well. If no problems alike to the last time occurs, the suits are expected to arrive to me in about 3 weeks time. Which then I can dye them and put them out to dry before shipping them. Thank you for your patience.

The image in the heading this time is also that of Mai Shiranui in casual attire. This is the last of the third shoots taken with the permission of her new owner. I will need the new owner to know a few things to watch out for as its a ponytail design and afterwards, hopefully more pictures will start popping up soon. There are two tops worn in the casual shoot, some videos have been taken as well. I'll be posting them up once I get the time to prepare them.

I'm going to be head over heels busy with several issues these upcoming weeks. Juggling with other work and the kigurumi hobby. Haven't got time to kig as much before, and I have a few spare masks that only recently successfully gave them away. Thank you to those who see value in the masks that have been idling from under use and taking them off my hands. I hope you will be able to enjoy them soon and perform as one seamlessly with them. I found a little time on the weekend to put Asuka in a rather saucy kig, didn't take any pictures... but, had recorded a live chat video on Stickam. That day, Asuka went on Stickam and two other video chat places entertain viewers and spend time chatting. She wore a fully body shined black latex catsuit. You might notice that the back isn't as shined as she tried her best to do the shining herself >_<;

The live chat lasted about 5 hours and by then, Asuka is in need of a break. Took some videos for keep sake, and I've embedded them below. I have officially started work on a new mask, laying the fibreglass and resin today. It will be another Saya custom for the anime/manga character Esther Blanchett from Trinity Blood. I kinda liked the anime very much when I saw it a couple of years back and is had definitely crossed my mind that Esther was really hot. So now I have to make a mask in her like, I guess that is gonna be really fun~^_^ If you're not familiar with the character I'm talking about, drop by the forum thread here, where she is introduced properly~

Nowadays I'm really busy with a few things and will be multi-tasking a fair bit. Haven't got much time to chat online but I try my best to every now and then, making sure I at least read all the new forum topics and replies~ On occasional instances when I have a bit more energy left and felt like kigging, I will go on to Stickam and announce on twitter. Oh and thank you all for following me on Twitter, I'm not a Twitter-holic but I try to use it as a simple means to notify the general public if anything new is happening.

Took some time to prepare the second of three sets of Mai Shiranui photos which I took before I shipped the mask off to her new owner. The attire use in this case is a pink hot chinese dress that absolutely hugged Mai's Curves ~^_^; No, the third shoot doesn't have Mai's official game/anime costume, I don't have it and besides, the person whom that task will befall on is Cloe whose Mai's new owner~^_^ If you missed what happened earier, you can check out some of Mai's making and discussions in the forum topic designated for this mask here:

iOS4 Jailbroke at last & already unlockable yeah~^_^ Mai in cheongsam preview

Yaaay~ Its kinda late but I just wanna say that iOS4 is ready for downloads. Apparently the more exciting news is that the Jailbreak software for it has already been released... so soon, just a couple of days since the OS was officially released. The unlock was even sooner available, but you need to Jailbreak your iOS4 first to unlock~^_^

Don't think I'll get the iPhone4 for now, not to mention I prefer the white over the black anyways, which isn't released yet. I'll save some cash for better uses I guess, my 3Gs is only 4 months old. That said, iOS4 is my next best toy~

This post is also a preview for a few pictures which I'll post up either tomorrow or the day after. While the Mai mask was still with me, I took some pics in 3 different attires. Including the chinese dress (cheongsam), its the second one I've put up. Viewer of my live chat that day in the third attire would have seen the third but I'll just slowly show the pics, otherwise I'll run out of interesting things to talk about hehe~^_^;

Mai is sporting in a long (but sexy) pink cheongsam. All shimmery and tight fitting with a pink flower above her right ear. Thanks to the owner Chloe for giving me permission to use Mai in the photoshoot~ I look forward to seeing her more in the future too ^_^. I hope you like how it turned out, more pics to come soon. Mai Shiranui in a waitress outfit~

Many will recognise the name Mai Shiranui, from Fatal Fury then King of Fighters. Well, she's here with me today and I gave her a job. A job as a waitress. She took a few pictures and videos. Hopefully I will find time to post them up for everyone to enjoy. She tried on another less elaborate costume after wards and I also took pictures of her in that.

The Mai Shiranui custom Saya mask is complete, I kinda really like it as well hehe. I'll post more images and talk more about it in the related forum topic. I will not be taking anymore videos or pictures of Mai, she has to leave. Her new owner generously given her new permission to be pictured here~ I will most likely sent her on her way the first thing on Monday where she will arrive at her new home in under or around 10 days time.

That comes to the next thing I have in mind, the HQ bodysuits have been sent out quite a few weeks already. I know some of the owners have already received it, I'm wondering if you're one of them, will you have had time to try it out and tell me about it. There is also a forum thread for buyers to leave a few words in review of the product they have purchased. I will greatly appreciate if the buyers do so.

Been really really busy lately, flying about and running around everyday, a fairly exciting and stressful time right now. Managed to do more work to the Mai Shiranui mask and its now really really close to completion. The hair is tied back and the ponytail afixed, all that I have left to do is to fix the fringe and add another layer of fringe and side burns~^_^

I've been looking to sell the extra mask I have as I wish to clear room for new masks to be made. A friendly update to interested mask buyers and existing buyers, 3 of the 4 masks have been finished and have been sent to their new owners. I have updated the forum mask orders and customisation threads with a little bit more details on them. As the indepth explanations on how the masks are made have already been repeated several times in the tutorial page, I have only included images in steps and the final pre-styled and styled versions of the masks.

As mentioned above, 3 of the 4 masks are completed and sent off. The one and only remaining mask which I will be working on now will be the Mai Shiranui mask which I need to spend more time and care with. I'm looking forward to it, and I hope to post a little more details about the styling process in the forum next up. I will be spending the next entire week working on this, so bear with me~^_^

In the mean time, I will also be working on the Test plugsuit whenever I can find some time.

Suits up and good to go~

Looking very much like I have skinned a number of fair skin humans (most probably girls) and laid their hide out to dry~ hehe ^_^; (meat was consumed as stew, ... I mean.. just kidding).

All the suits are ready and will be shipped off in about 12 hours time. Well, not exactly all, those which ordered the masks with suits included will have their suits shipped together with their masks.

Suit buyers please contact me if you wish to have eye holes cut. Otherwise I'll leave them intact, they are made as normal zentais after all.
It is very easy to cut the eye holes or open faces yourself, so don't worry about it. In fact first time buyers may wish to leave them intact in order to experience how (freakin') opaque they are (just a suggestion).

You might notice that some of the suits are of a different skin tone than others. Well, from experience, some kigurumi masks are slightly pink-ier while others are slightly yellow-er. They are made so in attempt to match the colour of their masks better~^_^ (Its just a best estimate) In the end of the day, it is usually not likely (and not necessary) to get a 100% match and if it do, then you're very lucky and you've probably exhausted your next 3 month's worth of luck so good luck.

I'll talk about the queue for the masks which will be completed. I have to send a couple off before the 5th of June so those two, a T-fa and Saya model will be prioritised. I will then follow on to the Yoko and lastly the Mai custom Saya. The reason for making Mai last is so that I can focus fully to make it properly.It is much more difficult to make compared to the others as it has a tied up hair~ And also I'm saving the best for last ^_^; Hopefully I make up the delay by doing the job properly, so I hope the buyer is fine with this arrangement~

Paint jobs out of the way~^_^

The painting tasks for the new masks are finally all completed. I posted an image of all the masks painted and ready for the next step below. Phew, the arrival of the suits made me had to rush a little and I ended up finishing 4 masks within two days~.

Now that they are completed, I managed to clear quite a fair bit of room to dye the suits. Should be able to send off the first of the few suits this coming Monday after all of them have dried thoroughly after the dye-ing process.

Wanted to talk about a little about the updates. The test plug suit is nearly completed. The wiring and buttons are done and will be attached to the suit very shortly. The cuffs and the rest of the accessories are also nearly finished. Will be starting on the backpack soon, thats the one bit which I have forgotten about.

For visitors who haven't got a clue how the test plug suit is supposed to look like, I have posted some images below. Its appearance in the second Evangelion movie is short... very short... :( But I kinda like it~^_^

Wanted to talk about a brief update. The new masks are mostly completed, needed to get them out of the way to create room for dye-ing the suits. Spent the entire day painting all masks and a few other accessories. As shown in the picture on the left, can anyone make out what those things are for? There is a still a few more accessories to go, but I need to get the suits prepared after this.

Has anyone acquired the new Evangelion 2.22 movie released on Bluray? I just watched it today, wow, the quality is great and so is the action. Its a pity Asuka didn't get to stay throughout the entire show. In some sense she's kinda poor thing for getting emotionally and physically... not to mention having her injuries neglected too >_< Poor Asuka~T_T

I took some images of the masks in making, they have been fully painted. The black usual eye sockets are actually already painted on as I am writing this, just that I took the picture before I painted them on. Below is the picture of one of the Saya masks. Asuka new plugsuit 87% completed~^_^

I have some good news to tell some people, and that is.... the bodysuits have arrived. Yes indeed, I am holding on them in my hands as I write (trying hard not to drop them while typing) this post~^_^ At last after the long wait. For those who have ordered it, will you mind dropping me a message, and I wish to apologise and inform you of what is going to happen from here. In short, I will be dye-ing them (perhaps tomorrow), making sure its all dry and proper before sending them off to the buyers~ Thank you to those who have waited for so long, the end of the wait is in sights.

Wanted to talk a little about a new costume which I have been making (actually designing and then having a tailor make it for me) is Asuka's new plugsuit from Evangelion 2.0. Oh by the way, huge huge news... Evangelion 2.22 is out on Bluray DVDs... which means, I can finally watch it... In fact, I already have it heh heh. I hope to find a couple of hours later to give it a watch. I have a few friends who claim its really really good.

Any Evangelion fans or fans of Asuka's new plugsuit here? I really like it very much...but not much about the fact that Asuka hurt her eye and that she's not the pilot for EVA-02 in the 2.0 movie :( Maybe it will all become right again in the Evangelion 3.0 movie~

Back to the topic on the suits... hehe subject hopping. I took some images of the bodysuits so that people do not have to worry, this time there really is no mistake about the suit arriving. Hehe, they look like packets of dope's don't they. Its just because they are packed neatly into small rectangular bags. I will have to open everyone of them and dye them to the desired colour.

It will take a bit of time to dye them all. I will dye those who order suits alone first. For those who ordered the suit with the mask, since they will only be shipped together with the mask when its ready, I will get them done to finish at the same time the mask finishes. ^_^ Will be busy the next few days~

From the Asuka new plugsuit images, you can see that the plugsuit is not exactly complete. Thats why I titled the post to be 87% completed. All that is made by my tailor is what you see in the pictures now. I can't wait till it finished so I tried it and took a few shots. I even have the Eva 2.0 Asuka's new plugsuit hair clips~^_^ Check out the pics. I also have those little button like things and materials to make the wrist cuffs and back pack. Phew~ seems like a lot of work remaining. What do you think of it so far?~^_^

New masks 77% completed

Not sure how and why, but it seems like through baby steps, I managed to get the new masks nears to completion already. When these pictures were posted, I have already done two additional steps which are panel lining and lacquering of two coats. It is about time for me to start printing out the eyes, cutting out them and the lashes and getting prepared to attach them after the masks get painted.

It won't be much too long from now, the masks will be finished, and hopefully by then the suits which accompany them will have arrived. I'm running out of space keeping multiple life sized dolls (including Asuka) in my premises, I sure anticipate I finish them and ship them off to customers making them happy. I haven't posted anything up in there at the time of creating this post, but soon I will, hehe.

Indeed, there are 2 Saya and one Yoko mask shown in the picture. The Yoko mask is the smallest model I have, compared to the newer Saya mask, it seems to be only a partial difference.

Will be commencing to paint these 3 masks and a 4th at the same time~ Hehe, owner of the 4th mask (T-fa), yours is not forgotten` no worries. I'll post images of them 4 in the next update. Come to think of it, one of the masks will be customised for the Mai Shiranui look. She is one of my favourite characters too. Thinking of that makes me want to finish and have the a look at it ASAP~ hehe.

Asuka Pink Casual~

The cosplay this time is an official casual attire. Casual attires are nowadays more appealing to me than anime costumes. Perhaps because I have tried nearly all the genres of costumes and nearly all the characters I really wanted to try already. So all the costumes that are left are casuals which won't ever run out unlike a specific costume~^_^

Hehe, the picture of the figurine of Asuka in her pink casual wear is mine... After reciting a spell, I managed to bring her into life shown in the image on the right~ lol... well give and take.

Did a live show in this attire and another red top for quite a few hours after the shoot. Images of the red top are also posted below. Got a few new attires's for Asuka lately, all casual... in different styles though. Such as the one above, the long sleeve red stretch top, a halter neck mini skirt (will show next time) and new silver leggings (also next time). Been really really busy with a lot of matters, both stressful, fun filled and... yet again more stressful tasks to handle, so hardly found time to take shoots. Somehow managed to squeeze this through.

I ought to talk about the mask and suit orders. I have hardly touched the masks after I smoothened them a 4th time. But no worries, I kept working on it even at a slower pace. They are ready to be lacquered and painted (just have to find some time) and next will be the wigs. The wigs have arrive too... so... yeah. Its all bottled necked at my end... busy busy busy. As for the suits, they should be arriving at my doorsteps sometime soon. I promise I will take some pictures (in case some of you might think that I have ran off with your money) to give you a sign of how they look like ... and I'll try my best to quickly dye them into shade. Thereafter, all it needs is to dry and get packaged and sent off. Phew~... once again, my sincerest inexcusable apologies for the delay T_T.

Asuka shined, Mini update~

Took a while for this update, I'd better get down to matters. The suits are will be on their way to me (this time for sure) after the 3rd of May. Which then after I receive them, I will give it colour and then put it on its way to you. Its truly embarrassing to have you wait this long, if you're one of those who ordered them, my sincerest apologies~^_^;

And as for the mask orders, I have the more tedious parts sorted as of now. All masks has been sanded, painted, puttied and sanded a second time. It will undergo the third round of painting and sanding, until the polished finished. I took some pics of the masks below, take a look~

One model is for the Mai Shiranui, one Yoko(hmm generic character I guess, no specific orders from the buyer) and the third one, also a Saya model... hmm will be revealed next time. The white parts are the sanded smooth putty. I will have to spray a paint over them to spot any remaining holes and scratches~^_^ I think it will be another week or so until the next phase~

I had a few lives recently, last week and just yesterday, but kinda only took very few pictures. Its just for fun, and also I'm a little tired to do shoots. People on Stickam and MSN would have chatted with me for a while. Hope that you can join my Twitter if you wish to receive the Stickam Twits when I am broadcasting. The following shoot was taken last+last week of Asuka in the shiny PVC black suit. The one which at one time lots of Japanese kigurumi cosplayers tend to be wearing so I got myself one too lol... Its getting kinda forgotten so I took it out and gave gorgeous Asuka a try. She's such a tease ^_^;

Mock latex leggings

Yatta~!! Been a while since I managed to find time to take a photoshoot. Got a few pairs of new leggings lately(for a week or so already) and finally got to spend some time to take pictures of Asuka modeling in it. Nothing too fancy, just casual wear with the very slick looking mock latex leggings hehe~^_^;

Do you find that it is getting rather popular these days for young women to head outdoors in those semi glossed, or some matt rubber like looking leggings. Are the same occurrences taking place in the place you live in. Thought I get Asuka to give it a try, got to keep up with trends afterall... hehe~

Couldn't stop taking pictures of Asuka in the casual attire, even got a small clothing change half way through, but kept the same leggings as that's the theme of the shoot. The top consist of a stretch short sleeve T and a cyan camisole. The second attire is just the blue spaghetti strap top which Natsuru Senou chan wore~

Been really really busy lately, working on 3 new masks at the moment but nothing presentable to show as of yet. The castings are completed, but yet to be sanded and filled. I might be starting to take up the full span of time which most other mask makers usually require, the period of 2 up to 4 months. I think as long as I can find time, I should be able to complete them in spurts, but in the meantime, that is yet the case.

One of the most important bit of this update. I haven't forgotten to touch on the suit orders. Phew... let me know if you are already tired of waiting. I hope not. What if I tell you that I am happy to give you back your payment, but if the order finally arrives, I will need the payment back since its ordered for you? Would that be fairer? Or you are fine with letting me try my best to rush them and just get the item to you as soon as I can, never looking back? What has happened now is that I just called them to declare the type and origin of the fabric so that the chinese customs will release them. Phew~... anytime releasing them now will be "superfantasticfabulousincrediblyabouttimedamnit". Other than that, no new news.

I posted some more pictures below as well. In the same theme as the above. Heard from Daza that they went to an event in Melbourne. Looking forward to seeing their pics too in the forums... sometime soon I reckon hehe. So er... Asuka lost some weight lately... is er... she looking ok? Tell me what you think?~^_^

Looking for a Kigurumi Cosplay Mask~??

In the midst of my busy schedule, I've received orders for two new kigurumi cosplay masks, and of course I intend to do them better than before. Very soon the new mask owners will be invited into the forums to identify themselves, and hopefully they become part of the active community (post pictures and share thoughts~^_^). Its not a surprise that the Saya mask has won another buyers and this time the customisation is for one of my all time favourite anime characters, Mai Shiranui, from King of Fighters series~^o^ Hehe, if you're reading this Chloe, yup~ indeed thank you for the fun project and I hope you do very well in her cosplay too~^_^.

Anyone who is a KOF fan out there (which I'm only a small fan) ought to be rather excited. Just in case you may be wondering, what's the meaning of the title image I inserted for this blog post. To clear confusions, its actually an artwork I found on Hongfire (thanks Hongfire, and thank you to its creator). It just reminds me of the current Saya mask Asuka custom. Her long golden hair, thin waist and rather "attractive" body shape~^_^; It very much can be a fanart for Asuka, hehe, can anyone draw to this standards? Didn't have time to do a kig lately, so substituted by an anime-ised version of my kig~^_^

One more last thing I need to bring up which is important. The zentai bodysuits. For a few of you who have ordered them, I am truly sorry with the wait, but there is nothing much I can do. I however guarrantee you that it is making small progress each day. Even though I know normal orders are often expected to take up to 3 or 4 months and it has only been 2, I will take pride in delivering them to you as soon as possible. Which in this case, (even though the delay was expected) I wasn't able to. The Chinese customs are holding on to the package for some stupid clearance issues. But don't skip a heart beat, its just being cleared. Estimated time of arrival (to you from now)... 5 weeks (ouch~). I will, as promised deliver the goods, and keep everyone updated. Once again, thank you for your patience.

Phew~... the order this time is really giving me a hard time (bad name also). I don't like keeping customers waiting, and most probably I would have finished the new mask orders and shipped them out before the suits arrive already. (just to show that if I have control over work done, it'll be fast ^_^;) Thank you everyone for your continual support.
