Updates to the new mask

I enlarged the eyes and flattened the eye surface. Had to add some clay which took a day to dry and set. On the next day, I took the headform to be painted. I took pictures of the headform before and after painting.

The headform then looked really smooth and shiny now. With this surface, it is ready to be casted. So the next day, I laid layers and layers of casting bandages over the headform. Prior to actually laying the layers, I had guidelines drawn on the headform so that I know where to keep the edges of the bandages, otherwise I won't be able to remove the cast after it has hardened ^_^

The casting bandages are taking a while to conpletely set. Usually a day. So tomorrow I will be able to remove the cast and hopefully it retains the features well. This is the first time I'm using this brand of casting bandages. I hope they turn out as well as I expect them to. hehe.
Hopefully, in a few more days, there will be more progress and I'll keep this space posted with the updates~^_^

Headform polished

The sculpture has finally hardedned...
I spent 2 hours sanding and polishing the headform today... trying to equal out the uneveness. I'm also a little sick from a slight fever... must be due to the seasonal changes.
And so here... I posted a picture of the headform I made ^_^
I wonder who will be prettier, Yu or her... I've yet think of a name for her yet >_<

What I'll be doing next is carving of the eyes. I'll try a new approach to making of masks which I do not need to attach eyes seperately after making two holes for the eyes. It will just be part of the mask... hmm know what I mean?.
I'll probably enlarge the eyes too, does everyone reckon I should do so? The eyes look small now do u reckon? Hopefully the sculpting will be completed by today or tomorrow... Then u'll lacquer and smooth coat it. Then it shall be ready for casting... If all goes fine, I intend to finish it soon.

I'm still coming down with a bad cough... it has already made me unable to work on the mask as frequently as I hoped. I really want to finish it quickly. I'm pretty curious what I'll do with the hair. I've also used a different head shape this time so I'm not sure what is the best way to attach the hair yet. One step at a time I suppose ~^_^

Started sculpting a new headform

Hmm, finally got my hands dirty again to try and make a new mask. Started sculpting only yesterday, not sure what to expect. In the current situation, it appears that the headform is not turning out as cute as I hope it to be T_T...
I can't tell what is missin ...@_@
Its already in ites drying stage, I suppose colouring and drawing on of the feature will improve its look a little more. Still a long process remaining, sanding, lacuqering, casting painting etc...~_~...

I suppose just like any other artwork, whether the outcome turns out cute or a disaster largel depends on the craftman's luck more over skill... Bad pieces of work should be a common occurence where the piece is scrapped and I start afresh... hope I can repair and salvage as much as I can... the clay along costed me like $50 for the new mold ~_~

Phew, spent me like a whole 5 hours in the last night kneading and pressing out the entire head and its features... almost got really sick of doing it. I used really hard to knead clay and use a special cost saving method which took me like double the time to make this headform... Things aren't as cheap as before~ Though it'll be interesting to talk about, I think I'll leave the new technique as trade secret for now.

Anyone spot any discrepancies? I'm thinking the chin is a little too skinny and might look nicer if its chubbier... or are the lips a complete no no. Its gonna dry soon, if there are any changes to be made, I need to do them soon.

Yu in black latex dress live chat video added~^_^

Anyone been on the latest live chat interface lately? I had 2 sessions on it so far. One of then sessions was about this video of Yu in her black latex dress.
Phew I must say, non kigurumi lovers can be quite a handful to handle, some people like it some people hate it.
The Stickam interface initially allows anyone in the public to join. The first time that happened it was quite a surprise. There were lot of people joining suddenly and very quickly I realised that the live show isn't private... >_<
The veteran users started giving suggestions and advice to how to use it and in no time, I figured how to make the chatroom work as I expected it to. I had two sessions to test out the website and a simple interface is also embedded in the ...oh yeah, new "Live Chat" page~^_^

I'll now just use Stickam and see how it turns out. I will appreciate it if people who join the chatroom uses their forum nicknames or msn nicknames so that I know who u are and chances of me mistakening you as a lurker will be less. Yeah apparently, you need to choose a nickname or you will just appear as an anonymous and all anonymous users gets dropped once the chatroom turns private. See how everything progresses from here then~^_^

Perhaps the next thing I should touch up on is the links page. There has been less than 10 updates since day 1 of this website. Some of the links may be changed, broken or no longer existing. I'm open to suggestions of link page interfaces and utilities. If any of you know of a good one, I'll try it out. Otherwise I'll just have to research online later on.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy the new video. Please spend some time to write and rate the videos, I'll continue to try my best. Come to think of it, there hasn't been a gallery update for a while... >_< eeks... ok I'll do one soon. I've got 1 unrevealed costume, 2 major costumes and 5 miscellaneous attires all yet to be revealed. Phew... letting the number of costumes get ahead of my photo shoot rate is kinda bad... I look forward to update the gallery, hang in there~^_^

New Live Chat button added.

Look below the "Contact me" link on the left and you will find a new option called named "LIVE CHAT".
It does exactly as it says it do, it takes you to a live chat interface which I embedded on my website which uses stickam as recommended from the forums. Still trying to find the best setup.
Anyone experienced with the options available which I have missed?

Ok, its working anyway now, thank you gfcdanny for the recommendation.
It appears that this solution is still a little laggy, future improvements may take place.
As usual, I'll notify people through MSN when I intend to hold a live.
If the turnout isn't as great, I'll just hold private sessions on MSN as before.
Let's try this for a while and see how it goes ok?

Cheers everyone~^_^

Winter in silver foil bikini live chat video added~

Hi everyone, it has been a long time since I've updated my site~
Been kinda... actually not "kinda" its... VERY lazy recently. To the stage that I'm too lazy to take a proper photoshoot >_<...
There is just too many things to do for one person...
Hehe... it'll be great if there were another person to help me around~^_^

Just uploaded a video taken in the live chat angle of Winter, in the silver foil bikini... time to head to the beach~! OK... anyway, I hope its not too revealing or anything, this costume used to be in the restricted section a year ago...
The video was taken during a live chat session a couple of weeks ago. It was as usual a really fun live chat... only bad part was that I needed to get out of the doll transformation to go out >_<...

Another thing which came to my mind is that, perhaps I'll need to set up a centralised live chat server soon... which means everyone will be able to see what each other says. Its getting kinda congested during live chats because there are so many private chat windows open >_<... if anyone knows an easy way to make something like that, please let me know. Otherwise I'll need to spend time researching and that might take forever eeks>_<...

I've got another 2 batches of new costumes arriving soon... they are sooo cute I can't wait to get them. Yikes... the previous batch's costumes haven't been properly used in a photoshoot yet. I hope I can get things done better this time, I don't want to waste my precious money on costumes which I didn't get a chance to use T_T.
I mentioned the last time that I may be selling some of my older costumes ... to clear space for the new and I got a few emails requesting me of which ones. The problem is... I really love all the costumes... they are so cute... I'm not sure if I'm able to bear parting with them. For the time being, I think I'll keep them around until I take more photos in them to satisfaction before selling them off... phew.
Space is going to become a problem... eeks.

Please drop by my youtube page to check out the new video, I used the special bustline technique I first tried in Meer's costume... I'm still trying to see if improvements can be made.
Don't forget to write~^_^
