Happy New Year everyone. New fanart added~ ^_^

Its the last day of 2008 and this post marks it. It has indeed been a rather fast but exciting and eventful year for me and my kigurumi activities. How have yours been this year?
This year marks only the second year I've been doing kigurumi and I'm looking forward to more fun and creativity to share with everyone in the next.
There has been many modifications to this website and the layout which you're looking at now is already version 3 of Live Wear Yu. Sounds like an odd name, but I have a reason to stick to it hehe...~^_^

My wish of making acceptable looking masks has also been met. I'm kinda glad that it turned out well. In mask making you sometimes don't know what to expect the outcome to be. I hope to encourage more kigurumi cosplayer wannabes to try making their own mask or buy one if they couldn't. At the same time I'll try to make my masks more and more beautiful so that english speaking people can get access to professionally made masks with ease. Hehe... I will keep trying to earn that standard I hope. Hmm plans do change... but I'll keep going as long as I can. Oh, won't anyone want to try making a mask or have already done so, come on, post your mask pictures in the forums. Its always interesting for me to learn new ideas and adopt them if possible.

The number of costumes accumulated over this time has been fairly big. 20 people can come to my place and I would be able to offer them each a different costume to cosplay in. Hehe... I'm just a student, it does feel unusual for myself to have such a collected. I don't even remember how I end up with so many. If you can see my averaged sized room, you'll be surprised how I manage to put them aside and still keep the room tidy... hehe. Hmm ok... thats odd talk. The point is, I think I've too large a collection to properly play in any particular outfit for a prolong period. Thats something I need to think about.

Actually I got this picture from Satomi chan about 1 week ago. I really didn't have time to post it up and also I didn't want the updates to come in too closely together. I am kinda occupied in packing my stuff for a long holiday which I'm planning ahead.

I'll be in a different place for about 2 months. Not sure if I will find time to make masks during this time but I intend to start a new design soon. Hehe... if I actually manage to set things up to my needs I'll inform everyone that I'm open to orders once again.

Yeap, meantime I'm sorry that I had turned down some requests but I don't want to make promises that I can't keep... or have to make you wait a long time for. But hehe... I promise that the next one will be better yet. I actually can't wait to start again. From the experience gained putting in all my effort into making the last two masks I learnt a few things myself. I'll take those as trade secret... but if you ask me I might just share them with you ~^_^ (if you're a mask maker~)

Anyway, have a hapy new year everyone. Is there going to be fireworks where you are at? I'm not sure where abouts is there near me but I'm going to find out.

Merry Christmas 2008~!!! Santa Girl CC gallery opened

Merry Christmas everyone~!!! Its Christmas 2008... phew~ its the second Christmas that I've been kigurumi-ing now. Is everyone having a relaxing holiday season? Well even if you're working, you can still feel the mood~ ^_^~

I noticed something really exciting... well for me that is. Its my 25th video this time and today is the 25th Dec 2008~^_^ Wow isn't that a very cool coincidence?~ I did took away some of my older videos, but I had taken them off since ages ago and I never planned to have this video become the 25th one...

Well another good sign for the following year of kigurumi I hope~^_^

Oh I'll be going on a long long winter holiday. Hmm I'll try to keep the site as updated as I can, so don't worry about not finding new things here okie^_^?

It is that time of the year again where its very cold in the northen hemisphere and very hot in the southern hemisphere. I happen to be somewhere in between... well rather hot. Has everyone been enjoying your holiday breaks? Or is your holiday plan about to begin?
I've taken a photoshoot today and I'll be releasing it to mark Christmas 2008~Wooo~!!!
I'm compiling the images and creating the gallery for this festive attire. There is also a video which I'll upload in a few days time~^_^
Hehe, the preview shots shown above does say alot about the nature of the shoot doesn't it. I made a simple hair clip that matches the festive season made with two bells, a small cherry bush and red lace. I also realised that the CC mask is alot easier to do the hair into ponytails than the Yu mask hehe.All the pictures taken will be opened to public on Christmas. Probably a couple will be posted in forums here and there, but do stay tuned. Time to do some last minute Christmas present shopping?

Yu in black skin tight gown gallery opened

As the title suggests, the gallery is opened for the black shiny wear which debut a few days ago. Its a full gallery and I assume most have seen the video which was showcased earlier this month.
Nope the picture on the left isn't two Yu-s, I just placed two pictures side by side and I didn't meant for it to look like anything other that... just two preview pictures.

I've also touched up the mask sale page and added most of the things I wanted to say in there. Have a look if you're interested in getting a mask.

The Christmas season is in full swing, not sure about you, but I've gotta finish writing all the cards I want to send and send them in the next couple of days. Anyone of you planning a long vacation break? Its that time of the year you know? Well I have some plans myself and probably would disappear after a while for some time. Hehe, won't gonna say when but... I'll try to ration the updates I took in advance to cover the period when I'm away so that everything seems normal... hehe

New CC Black Knight uniform test shoot

Before I talk about the post, I will like to give acknowledgments to gfcdanny for his generous christmas donation. Thank you Danny, and I wish you a Merry Christmas and a fantastic 2009 new year~^_^

Fans of Code Geass should have seen CC in this uniform. It is what she wore in most parts in the second season of the anime.

Its a sexy figure hugging black dress with 4 tails and a number of belts around her waist and arms.
Hmm, CC has a thing with belts as accessories on her clothes doesn't she.

Its a test shoot as I'm not sure if everything I wanted it to look like is going to turn out properly. Hmm perhaps I might try having Yu cosplay as CC for a trial too. CC poses with cheese kun for the first time here, now u can take a good look at how does cheese kun look like being squeezed and hugged~^_^
Cheese kun is actually quite large. How does it look? Cute isn't it lol ^_^

Hmm a little about the costume. The main part is made of lycra, I actually iron on the Black Knight Crest onto the costume by myself. Yeah the tailor isn't confident in making a design like that which is accurate to the original art, so I told them to just make the main dress and I'll sort the crest out myself.

Might as well talk about how I did the crest.

First I measured how large I wanted the crest to be and then I drew the crest in Photoshop according to scale.
Then I printed the crest out on an A4 sized sheet of normal paper.
Placing the paper on a sheet of "Iron-on" adhesive material, I cut the shape of the crest out on the Iron-on material.
The Iron-on material is a sheet with plastic resin on both sides and a protective paper strip on the other for Ironing on. Well look it up yourself if you're interested.

So anyway, I place the cut out of the Iron-on material on silver foil fabric and ironed the adhesive onto the "wrong" side of the fabric.

Then I cut the shape of the crest and the foil fabric which are attached together out and it is ready to be iron on. Just had to adjust the positioning properly on the costume and iron on the foil through a piece of paper. The paper is to prevent the foil from melting and sticking onto the iron

After ironing the crest onto the suit, the crest is permanently afixed. Once its cooled down properly, it is ready to be worn ^_^

New video of Yu in black skin tight dress added~

Hmm... I've finished most of the black dress gallery but just a little bit left to go. I finished editing the video and I've posted it up this afternoon. Please take a look. You can see how body hugging the attire is. I really like how the dress gave off a shiny appearance on Yu. It was really fun cosplaying in a gown like dress for the first time.

Its already the 2nd of December this year >_<
Argh time really flies fast. Its the time of the year again for holidays and fun.
